According to this article Heupel was not happy with officiating Saturday and staged a silent protest during his post game press conference. 😂

If he thinks he isn't happy he should be a UK fan.

Story here
Rewatched game, the officials were piss poor the entire game. biggest error was the out of bounds catch. To be honest both teams were hurt by bad calls or lack of calls. SEC MUST do something about the poor quality of officials. It seems UGA & BAMA get much much better calls than the rest of the SEC schools. THE SEC wants to make sure UGA or BAMA mke the playoffs. SEC does not view UK as a potential playoff school so we get screwed.

He’s given the silent protest when asked about officiating for a couple games.

I don’t think it was specifically the UK game, but he feels officials are slowing the game down.

Regardless, he should have slid officials a $20 on his way into halftime. That sideline call cost us points.

What in teh UK game went against Tennessee?

- We for sure had the stupid out of bounds call that gifted Tennessee 3pts
- As far as slowing down the game....Tennessee had all kinds of dudes going down with injury if we're talking about faking injuries to slow down the temp.

Agree with you! Thus, my comment about him sliding some $ to officials during halftime.

I just heard sports radio this week talking about JH “silent response” about officiating and them speculating it was about officials slowing the game down. I think (not for sure) it goes back to their game against Ala.

Jeff Piecoro brought it up in the post game and I have wondered the same thing myself but how does UT not get called for illegal procedure multiple times per game? I think it was the Ole Miss game last year that we had a TD wiped out because they said our TE wasn't set for the allotted time but UT runs to the line and hikes the ball as soon as everyone bends over. Nobody is set for more than 1/2 a second and yet they never get an illegal procedure. There are also multiple times per game where guys haven't lined up on the ball so the refs miss that they don't have 7 guys on the line of scrimmage. That stupid hurry up offense gets them out of multiple infractions per game because the refs can't keep up and yet he is complaining about officiating.

UK had zero post snap penalties- there were some serious holds not called just like bama the previous week.

Didn't that call cost anyone that had UK and the points the game? Believe it was UT -4 or something.

I agree that UT didn't have any bad calls against them.

SEC teams have been "Neylanded" for decades. More screwing has gone on at Neyland than goes on at a Motel 6 on Fri night. That any TN fan bitches about SEC officials is laughable, you know whose *** to kiss...UK doesn't.

So facts don’t count, only your feelings

No post snap penalties- no holds, offense or defense, no personal fouls, no pass interference…but the refs were out to get you. Got it

😂

So, all you have is post snap penalties? And no evidence of even one?

I go agree Bama got the home court calls last week (the defensive holding on UT for a pass Bama QB air mailed out of bounds was absurd)....but that has zero to do wtih Ky game.

I don't think the refs cost UK the game by any means...but for Heupel to do that after Ky game is sort of baffling. UT plays a way more aggressive defense that UK....thus the defensive holding calls were legit IMO.

Fair evidence and good post. I'd like to see the live video vs. still frame shots. (the 2nd one doesn't look like a hold to me moreso that trying to stay inside of Burnett and he jumps as pass is being thrown.

I guess my question to you as TN fan...do you think Ky got the better flasgs/calls in this game?

#4 for Tennessee being held by UK tight end on a TD play.

@Orange_N_White would you like to address how UT doesn't get called for illegal procedure penalties time after time when players are not set for the allotted time before the ball is snapped? They also on multiple occasions per game fail to have 7 players lined up on the line of scrimmage but they snap the ball before the refs can even count.

UT had holds missed too. Many were worse than the ones missed on UK. Multiple plays you OLine literally tackled the pass rusher and they weren't called. As the old adage goes, holding can be called on every single play.

True…the point is bad calls and no calls were horrific in this game. That’s why Heupel was quiet

Sure

SEC officiating is horrible

…but it most certainly is not one sided as evidenced by Saturday night

WTH...#84 was not holding. Tn Player took the outside leverage and Kattus pushed him that way and at the end....the TN player jumped to the outside and you may want it to be a hold....but he made no effort to go inside leverage when Ray Davis cut inside.

That aint a hold in my book.

Chumlee's smart, he uses the friendly TN sports media who is nothing but an extension of the TN athletic dept, as his proxy. They have people feeling sorry for TN, didn't think that was possible.
