from my understanding, he does have a lot of books.

I think the better question is what the hell is he doing building a house THAT size in Starkville when he coaches at UAB? Maybe he just plans on selling the house as an investment, but I doubt it.

One day, it might be a former player. Or even a manager. The next day, it could be the likes of a Tonka or Champ, the school's trusty, four-legged mascots.</p>

Or it could be Ron Polk.</p>

Whoa. Wait. What was that, you ask?</p>

Yep. Ron Polk. Live and in person. Cigar and all.</p>

The former baseball skipper made an appearance today while visiting from Birmingham. In case you haven't heard, he's now a volunteer assistant at UAB.</p>

He said all is well in Birmingham, minus UAB's facilities. But more importantly, they let him smoke.</p>

Who knows, maybe Doc Foglesong will make a flyover tomorrow. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Daffodils beware.</span></p>
