and according to BDJ and Deontae Skinner, he will be down to Starkville after the game for the rest of the weekend.

Patterson doesn't like to disappoint anyone or tell anyone something they don't want to hear. I don't think he has any malicious intent in all this... he's just wrestling with a tough decision and doesn't know what to tell the reporters that ring his phone every 10 minutes.
And further.. I don't think he's considering us at all. He's a senior in high school. Two of his best friends (Skinner, and Smith) will be partying on State's campus 30 minutes from his house and he'd really like to go hang out with them. That being said, he'll be a Rebel on signing day.
