Agreed. He was kinda just trying to go iso the first couple games and force shots. Played within the game, disruptive on D, crashed the boards and made the shots he had too.

Team better stay late and shoot FTs. We play with this defensive intensity and rebounding we’re in for a nice upward swing.

I have expressed admiration for Ace in the past for his early verbal commitment to RU...followed by his seemingly unwavering loyalty all the way to LOI day. During the summer one of my biggest worries (along with a lot of other people here) about this team was our future appetite for hitting the boards. At one point I think the vibe was Ace was not/would not be inclined to do power forward type work on the glass. I am a big believer in team rebounds...being a good rebounding team can indeed be a TEAM activity. However, if someone on the coaching staff can convince a player with Ace's God-given physical abilities to regularly help with the rebounding "dirty work"...well, we just may win a lot of games this season! Go Ace! Go RU!

The kind of effort in rebounding we needed. He was off tonight in shorting and still scored well. Keep rebounding as NEED it to win

Ace making winning plays in crunch time and learned to help the team when his shot wasn't falling

He's due for a monster offensive game
