Damn, I didn't think he would go that high.

Helluva day gentlemen. Hunter gone, Cord gone, Frazier gone, Football penalties....maybe it's a good thing that our Super doesn't start til tomorrow. The MSU fan in me couldn't take an *** whoopin on top of all this stellar news today.

He's gone. That's pretty good for him. Don't see what coming back would do to help his draft stock.

He was a defensive sub at 2b last year I think late in games....haven't seen him much this year. If he doesn't start next year, then he is likely on the Trey Porter/Nick Flair program.

I really like Britton, and I think he can be pretty good for us. Will he get another chance is the question. He will have experience, so maybe Cohen will try him at SS to start the season so he can keep Pirtle at 2B. See how it goes, and adjust.

I see Pirtle moving to short and Hann playing 2nd. Never know until freshman get to campus and see where they can make an impact. Happy for Frazier but damn.

To answer all of the guesses as to who will replace him: Reid Humphries. What a talent. Power hitting shortstop, with a cannon of a arm.

Will be interesting to see what happens at SS assuming Frazier is gone. If you remember Britton started opening day last year as a true freshman at SS and Cohen was raving about his defense and his arm. He subsequently imploded there over the first month of the season and hasn't really seen much of that position since. He's played mostly 2nd base since that time. Not sure if would have matured enough by next year to be able to take that position or not.

cord and ncaa penalties suck.

however, i'm all for our guys getting drafted early into the professional leagues in any sport. that's a sign of good recruiting, coaching, and leads to even better recruiting when guys see what happens when they come to msu and work hard.
