I think Peria Jerry is probably the best player in the state by a good margin, but those type of awards don't typically go to D-linemen, especially DTs that don't get a chance to rack up nearly as many stats.

Right now, Hardy's got some highlight reel footage from two games last year and a questionable work ethic.

If you asked me right now, who I would rather give up before our game against y'all on Friday, there is no doubt I'd keep Jerry over Hardy. It's actually not even close.

To me, that's because Lockett can now hold his own at DE, whereas he was lost early in the year.

We don't have anyone at Peria's level that can jump in if needed.

Y'all are going to really miss him next year. He probably should win the award, but probably won't.
