Good to see Nathaniel Rateliff sing The National Anthem. He doesn't have the pipes that Soldier Field man does, but still good.

Crazy that I'm rooting for another Aubie QB.

Denver has dominated the first half but two stupid decisions means it a tie game. Not kicking the field goal to go up 10-0 was dumb and then Stidham showed why he’s a career backup with that idiotic backward pass.

I don't hate that they went for it, but I hated the call. But I agree smarter move is taking those points.

Yep, big mistake by Peyton not kicking the FG and I thought so at the time. You are in a defensive game with a backup QB and you have the opportunity to go up 2 scores you have to take it. Even if you make the first down you may end up having to kick the FG anyway. Just a bad decision that may end up costing Denver the game.

I'm going to rest my case on why all 32 teams should play in domes. This is stupid. A billion dollar industry comes down to the luck of the weather. It's not a challenge of who is stronger, more skilled at football, or better tactics.

Once it started snowing, the game was basically over. New England won the game with that long field goal drive to open the second half. Once the blizzard hit, nobody has even gotten a first down.

Bad guys won. I don't think the weather affected it. Coaching decisions did.
The weather definitely affected the game. Neither offense could move the ball at all once the blizzard hit. The only first down that was made in the fourth quarter was the last one by New England on the QB run. Payton’s decision to not kick the field goal to go up 10-0 was monumentally stupid, and cost them.

If the orange line was correct that was not a first down. Should have been Broncos ball.
Wonder why they stopped putting the digital line markers on the screen after using it a couple of series. Maybe it was misleading, with some viewers thinking the players could see them?

2 big things determined the game. The 3 points the Broncos didn't take when they should have and the 3 points the Patriots did get after being given a first down on a 4th and 1 play that looked pretty clearly short from the overhead view. Of course weather was a huge factor for both sides. And the Broncos made the one huge mistake on the Stidham backwards pass that gave the Patriots the ball deep in Broncos territory.

Payton is not a playoff coach. He cost thr Saints at least 2 more Super Bowl appearances bc of decisions like this.

Completely agree. Drew Brees and those Saints teams only making one Super Bowl is criminal. The one Super Bowl he made was gifted to him by Brett Favre throwing a dumb interception in the final seconds of regulation in a tie game when they were already in field goal range.

Because the effect they were using to show the digital yard lines was making the Patriots players disappear.

I suppose that's true but I didn't notice when they popped the grid up. The white uniforms were blending into the snow anyway.

I remember in the "Snow Bowl", we were wearing white and you could barely see our players on the field from the stands. Had to be an advantage for us to an extent since the A&M players had trouble seeing us too. But, Madkin would have had trouble finding somebody to pass to. I think he was too cold to throw the ball anyway.

It made it much worse. It almost made them translucent. I was thinking the Patriot players looked like ghosts. They were much easier to see when they turned that effect off.

Let’s be honest. It not exactly like these offenses were lighting the scoreboard up when conditions were good. Stidham was what you’d expect a career backup with a 1-3 record in a championship games vs one of the best defenses in the league. And Maye was even worse. The snow & wind didn’t shout the offenses down. Two really good defenses did.
