They will be replacing a decent number of people as well. Both OGs, their center, 2 WRs, both DEs, a LB, and a CB are starters that will graduate this year. I know a lot of people are concerned about 3/4 of our secondary leaving with the passing attack they bring, but they will have some problems of their own. With them losing 3 senior interior OL to graduation, our DL of Eulls, Autry, PJ Jones, and Evans should be able to make some plays and disrupt their QB.
I know a lot of people aren't a fan of this game, but the opportunity to knock off an upper tier BCS team on national television is an opportunity we can't pass up. I know what style offense they bring to the table, but I think we will have a dangerous team next year with some good young talent. Front 7 should be stout, Russell and Perkins will be seniors, our entire OL will be back if Gabe Jackson stays, and we have weapons on the outside like RoJo, Morrow, Jameon, Malcolm Johnson, and maybe a few freshman from this years class.
If we want MSU to take the next step in recruiting and in the national setting, sitting on our *** and playing nonconference schedules like Troy, MTSU, Jackson St, and USA isn't going to cut it. Time to nut up and start playing the big boys in my opinion.
