Torrey Barnes, Monticello, 6'2"-285, DL. A recruiting gem. A definite find for anyone wanting to plug the middle. Lost in the recruiting shuffle now, but someone will pick up this talent.

Lawrence Thomas, Franklin Co., 5'9"-170, DB. A great cover guy and kick blocker, this speedster is receiving attention from Auburn. A great kid who brings excitement to the field.

Kenmantel "Animal" Davis, Hazlehurst, 6'- 200, LB. Led the Wolves in tackles during his freshman campaign. Being recruited by Auburn, Marshall, among others. Intensity is the key word to describe Davis.

He consistantly said that Buckles never told him that but that, "in my (Gene's) heart, I think Buckles will be a Bulldog." There's a very important distinction between what Gene actually said and what he gets hell for supposedly saying.

Gene was just making up ****. We were all so dumb to believe him. Maybe he didn't say word-for-word that Buckles would be a Bulldog, but he hinted at it pretty strongly.

it looked like he might sign with State and we had hourly updates if he had loose or firm stool.

I never read an interview with a player's parent before, but all of a sudden it was a weekly thing. I thought this was probably not a good sign, turned out I was right.

Ramsey's bi-weekly interviews were funny, so were the weekly updates on the DT from North Panola everytime a school sent him a piece of mail.

This year's offseason has all the makings of a classic recruiting season. You have Vincent Sanders and the sh!tstorm about Patteron's ACT, you have Matthew Wells who everyone has an opinion on where he is going, you have the DE from the delta that both MSU/OM are after and then the kids at Madison Central that OM supposedly has a good chance with, and this doesn't even include the fact that MSU is looking to sign 5 guys from MGCCC and Ole Miss is trying to sign 3.

There should be more bones, tidbits, biscuits, sniffles, and war rooms then one person can handle.

I just hope like hell OM basketball is good this year because I really want to have something else to talk about.
