What's going on with Mike Leach...... He's offered a 5 year extension but hasn't signed..... his OB says he think he will be somewhere else next year because he wants a challenge..... Is he going to Auburn? What's up with that? I haven't heard 'Jack' from anybody but since there isn't any new rumors out there today I thought I'd throw this against the wall......

2.5 a year would be more money than they offered...you do the math.....if we offered 3 per year that would be almost 600k more per year than they offered....

Guess they're basing it on Gundy (Ok State) getting 7 years at $12M or something. We could pay him $1M more per year and AU could probably pay $2M more per year. If he wants a challenge, then we're the place for sure. Be interesting to watch b/c we the numbers our two schools are throwing around I wonder if it pissed him off they offered $2M.
$12.1M over 5 years is roughly $2.4M per year. Are you saying that MSU could pay Leach $3.4 per year and that Auburn would pay him $4.4M per year.
Edited to add: I wouldn't say TT's offer is a low-ball, because $2.4 would have to make Leach one of the highest paid guys in the Big 12.
