I think we actually did conduct an "air raid" tonight. The planes didn't fly far, but they flew often. And we won. I liked the way our team played tonight. We won't beat Alabama, but we might aggravate them a little.

WHY DONT WE THROW THE EFFING BALL DOWNFIELD?

Because defenses are dropping eight guys to cover all the downfield routes? Rogers doesn't have a cannon, but cannon or no, this system is based on taking what defenses allow. Until we make defenses pay for giving up the short routes, the long routes are not going to open up. I'd rather Rogers learn the system better and take the open short routes than have him force long throws into coverage with his "noodle" arm. Those throws, in my opinion, are interceptions waiting to happen.

Yup. There are a few sad, miserable 17's on this board who would rather be right in their miserableness than see a solid bulldog performance. Quite a few of them found this thread early and then disappeared when we started looking like winners.
