My game is sucking at the moment. Index is up to 4.7. But I recently played some great courses....Crooked Stick and Victoria National in Indiana (both top 100s) and The Virginian in Bristol. I've hit rock bottom in my game though and am getting a lesson from Scott Stalling's teacher tonight. You guys playing any?

Sorry your game has taken a downturn. Mine is normal. Had a blast on my weekend at Grand National a few weekends back. I basically play once a weekend. Preparing for the World Am Championship in Myrtle now. Looking forward to it.

All the time. I won one senior event that's a three day tournament in Lynchburg, 100 vsga points. My partner and I led the vsga senior four ball championship for most of the day. The first day was cancelled and we had to go 36 holes. We shot 10 under but we started off with 12 birdies in the first 22 holes with one bogey. Unfortunately, we ran out of gas and the next to last group birdied the last three holes to shoot 11 under. I finished 6th in a two day event in Richmond after being tied for the lead. Starting June 10th, I play in a three day event, drive to Petersburg and play Monday and Tuesday in the Senior stroke play, come back and take two days off, got to work sometime. Then we have the Valley Match play start on the 17th, it will go to Sunday if you don't get beat, and then the US Senior Open qualifier at The Cascades course on the 20th. Busy 10 day stretch for a 61 year old. We'll see if my body can take it. Handicap still plus 1.4

Speaking of golf, where's Snow been lately? I haven't seen him on in a long time. I hope he is well.

I'm in the process of joining a different club. It's closer and I know more people there. In the last year I was playing more golf there than my old club so I figured it made more sense.

That's a full plate. VA is so many great courses. Good luck-especially in the Senior Open Q.

I think my good friend Tony green played really well on Scott's home course and had the course record there for about 10 mins. What's the name of the course?

Unfortunately, the three day tournament alternates on three different courses and two of them, you need Dramamine. The Senior Stroke play is in Petersburg CC. The Valley Match play is at Roanoke CC which is a tillinghast design and the qualifier is a Flynn design. Great courses.

Oak Ridge CC....I think that Scott and Chase Narrimore, who's also a member of the club and plays on the Web.com Tour, share the record with 60s.

not sure if if being funny? But I was referring to the poster snowsledbaby

I just hired a girl from Memphis and she never had seen snow until she moved here, just ice. She was so excited but after we had 16 inches, she was tired of it after one day. It was funny to me, except I know that Tenn gets lots of snow. I talked to Snow in dec or Jan but I haven't heard from him since..

I lived in Memphis for 7 years and it does snow there. I remember in 1983 or 84 when it snowed almost 2 feet. That's rare for sure. It snow much more in East TN.

April just said she was 2 in 83 but that she moved to Memphis when she was 7. She said they had a big ice storm there in 94. She was just funny when she got all excited about the projected big snow. That lasted 24 hours. Then she was tired of it.[laughing]

Looks like a few houses up on Baier, other side of street. I don't like to post full names or addresses. First name is Frank, might see an old red Ford pickup in garage. He is my wife's brother

I was confused about some things. Tony said he shot a course record a Thorn Springs, 63 in a tournament, and Rich Speaker, broke it two groups behind Tony's. He thinks that Rich became your head pro later. He said he shot the course record at Tenn National that lasted a couple of hours broken by a tour pro. Might have been Stallings. Tony could always go very, very low. Shot a 63 in Raleigh NC one time in a USGA senior Am qualifier.

Rich Spraker is a good friend and was our head pro/general manager for a long time. He's now at Springbrook CC in Athens. He can play. He's originally from Pulaski and played his first 2 years of college golf at the Univ of Alabama then transferred to VT. He's won a bunch of TN PGA events over his career. He had the pleasure of accompanying me to one of Big Clay's tailgates at Louisville a few years back when we played Valhalla the next day in freezing conditions with our sons.

When I first met tony, he lived in Athens. Now I remember him telling me that Spraker had moved to his old town. Thorn Springs is in Pulaski.
