Suddenly Franklin is coaching the DBs. Is there a psu position group with more players in the NFL?
Funny how little influence the CB Coach must have had....and how he blossomed into a great HC in 2 weeks. Damn that Franklin :sneaky:

Uh there is a huge difference between entering the portal voluntarily and having to do so because you were kicked off the team.
Really? The result is identical. I quit...you're fired. I don't think Harris will have any problem finding a home
Just another bum that PSU doesn't need...like all those that will portal. .

back in the day (late 80's) at my fraternity a bunch of us would wear depends and sit in the TV room for 12+ hours drinking beer and watching NCAA tourney basketball and never leave the couch... good times

“ never leave the couch…” ?!?!?
Wow! Why such a PANSY ?!

My first Arts Fest after graduating in the late ‘80s - I had the brilliant idea of a minimum six hour tour of doody / “elimination contest” in the Skeller ; challenged a group of my challenged bruhs to suit up w/some sexy adult diapers I’d snatched up for a song at an Estate Sale … photo depicts pre-gaming at the Sheraton

that was a very sweaty afternoon … women were on us like flies*

Triggered.

Do you perform your searches for "Franklin" every 10 minutes or every 5? You seem to have a voracious appetite for dead horse meat. Just can't bring yourself to give him up, can you?
Ehhh. he doesn't have wait 10 minutes or even bother with a search. Just pick a thread and start reading. I guarantee the "dead horse" will show up.
It's tiresome and frankly a little pathetic.
The Franklin Derangement Syndrome is off the charts.

One doesn't have to search or read, just hit the follow button.

Instant stalking.

Alice Cooper said that when he and his friends sit around and tell stories, about 3/4 of them are true. When Keith Moon sits in, they are all true and they can only tell half of them.

My bad; realize you were referring to Harris. The end result is as you say the same. However, I think it may hurt his transfer opportunities if other teams find out he was kicked off the team.
It could. Need wears dark glasses. I think that there have been indications that Harris should be a safety. This dates back to his recruitment.
While I'm not a GM geek....I think corners make more in the NFL.....sorta like I'm an edge not a LB....
So AJH, has his eyes on the future, IMO, which is only bad if you trip over the present.
My guess is he made a mess of sorts, but we tend to do these things in youth, and he'll rebound nicely next stop.

It's always on the players. Never the coaches...interesting

Coaching is an important aspect of football. Just not nearly the difference maker most here seem to believe. Especially over rated is game day coaching.
It's as overrated as arm strength in a qb. I have not seen a pro or college coach yet who hasn't made some questionable decisions (almost always in hindsight) during the game.

May I preface my comment by stating that there is no intent to equate my experience to a P4 coach.
But, if you are not on the sideline, you are not privy to why a time out is or isn't called etc. Hell, because I had times I needed to call time out because a player broke his chin strap buckle and the time out was the better alternative than putting his backup in LOL.

The sentiment I recall (Saturday games) was saying after practice on Friday..."the horses are in the barn." Spare me the coaches who try to look brilliant on game day. That's the day for players to shine. I never would completely trust a "coordinator."

Weird how so many coaches are making around $10 million a year for a position that is not much of a difference maker. All they do is recruit, hire staff, budget NIL, be a prominent public face of their university, provide general strategic guidance to their coordinators, make key decisions on 4th down go for it/punt/attempt the field goal, provide major input on scheduling and the overall allocation of resources, and decide who starts or sits. You are correct, they are a highly overrated aspect of a football program.
