but if they put out a ballot with a black bear, a shark, and Ackbar and let the students vote on it, Ackbar would get 90% of the vote right now.
I really don't care what we end up with. It's a mascot. Mascots are a lot like jerseys...for kids 12 years and under. Being that I have kids though, I'd like us to have something, even if it's a beady-eyed alien from Star Wars.
I still think we'd run into major copyright issues if this were to gain any real traction. The media attention is entertaining though, and I imagine for the guy or group of guys who came up with the idea, it's hilarious. It just goes to show what the internet can do these days. It can make a MFer in a bus fight an overnight celebrity, and it can make Ackbar a national story.
