I'm not the betting type, but this pick looks like a no brainer. Does Vegas know something that I don't?

everytime a team that should dominate OM comes to Oxford, they play flat. But maybe that has to do with people were taking them for granted under Orgeron. They played Florida close at home, Bama very close twice, and LSU close too if I'm not mistaken.

OM just plays well at home against teams that should blow them out and often plays poorly against teams they should beat at home. I don't get it. Its different players and coaches, but they just do.

Couple that with Saban probably being content to let his defense win the game and I can easily see a 27-23 game or even a 23-17 game where OM scores a late TD to have a shot at the buzzer.

He's such a prick that he will go for the jugular vein against an overrated Ole Miss. Not that I would complain.

Tide will cover the 6.5. Thwy win by 14-21 points...
The Tide defense is pretty damn good and the running game of Bama will not be stopped by EWOP.

I already put a some on it -6.5. I think the line moves up to 7 by gametime..

This will be do or die for the Rebels. I think it will be close until half. Then the skull dragging will begin.

mediocre competition. They will get sky high for this one and Nutt is a proven commodity in this scenario but I just think the better team wins and that is Bama by two touchdowns. Turnovers as we well know from experience could lead to a different outcome. Gonna be fun to watch.

Ole Miss offensive line is horrible. I am going on the record to say Snead will get sacked at lest 4 times and ole miss turns the ball over 4 times as well. Alabama will win big. This game is not close.

Snead will be pressured or sacked often due to a weak offensive line. He will be blowing snot bubbles out his nose before the game is over. McCluster will make some big plays but it won't be near enough. Rebs go down hard.

this is going to be a physical ballgame. Bammer is going to have a tough time blocking their front as well.

It's in OXFORD

Bammer escapes in a close one hopefully and doesnt get upset

I am calling it as I see it. There is something about Ole Miss that's not clicking. That might be ok with the weak teams they have played so far but against Alabama, if they don't get it going, they will pay. I think Ole Miss will still have a good season. It might start this weekend or it may not but until they show me something I am sticking with what I posted.

Take it to the bank, if Ole Miss offensive line play does not improve this week starting at the first Ole Miss snap, Snead is in big trouble and if Snead is in trouble, Ole Miss is in trouble.

then he could be a game-changer. They've got to get some kind of pass rush on Bama because their receivers have a significant height advantage over Ole Miss's 5'7 and 5'9 corner backs. I say Bama wins 17-14. The under should be a good bet.

it has more to do with the fact that Ole Miss has looked incredibly average this year, and Snead has been running for his life against inferior competition due to the gaping hole at LT they have. Alabama's defense will eat them for lunch. Just my hunch. Snead threw 3 picks against Vandy for Chrissakes and looked like Mike Henig against South Carolina.

31-7.

Feel free to ridicule me on Sunday, but just basing it on my observations so far.

even if he's physically 100%, he will come up with something that takes him off the field.

The Vaught doesn't lend much of a homefield advantage from my experiences there.

Hardy is a mental nut-job per some former teamates. I'm sure you know how he had to put an ad in the school newspaper looking for a roomate a couple of years ago. Nobody on the team wanted to live with the guy. I also think it looks like he's gained some weight since last year, and doesn't look as quick off the ball.

they will be up for this game and always play up to their competition in big home games. They still have some weapons and a pretty solid defense. Will definitely be close. Turnovers will be key.

I fully expect Bama to beat them this weekend, but I think you are going to see a very different Ole Miss team than the one we have all seen so far, and that may happen sooner than later. A lot of my thinking process on that simply has to do with the sort of strange start to the season they have had. They opened on the road against a very weak Mumphisss team, who they dispatched handily despite playing poorly. Now you always hear about the amount of improvement that happens on teams between the first and second games. They, however had an off-week, which should have demonstrated that even more. But then they had 30+ players come down with the swine flu. I really don't imagine that a whole lot of meaningful practicing and "getting better" happened between the Memphis and 1AA team games. You can look to the improvement we made after the Auburn game for a gauge on that theory.

You then have them going to SC to play on a Thursday night in what is really their first game, at least the first game where they had to play even remotely competent to win. Those games are always hard to win for the road team for some reason. Just ask the real USC how they like playing those Thursday games on the road. SC outplayed them in that game, but OM still had the ball with a shot to win at the end, despite playing about as bad as they could play. The next week they went in to Vandy and from what I can tell outplayed them worse than the score indicated.

The point is that I can see them improving vastly as the season progresses, perhaps similar to last year. It has been a fairly strange start to the season for them. They have only played at home once so far and that game basically was meaningless, and they have played no one to get excited about other than SC. In my opinion, they simply didn't know how to deal with the expectations and maybe they took some games for granted, leading to poor play. It will be interesting to see how they look this weekend in their first "big" game, especially given that it'll be their first at home in front of a crowd that will be into the game.

Bama has looked as good as anyone in the country so far though. I think Bama wins by 10 or so, pulling away late in what is otherwise a good game.

In my brief betting experiences, if you see a line that looks like a gimme pick, you are best to bet the other side, because it usually means Vegas is a step ahead of you.

One of the guys even referenced it on Gameday this past weekend when talking about Michigan State, because it looked like a game where Michigan should've been a decent sized favorite, and Michigan State covered.

If I were to bet on our game, I'd put money on the under. That's my only advice for you. Bama's defense is going to keep our offense in check, and we're the best defense Bama will have faced all year and the best pass rush. Barring some defensive scores, I expect a low scoring game.

Isn't that what everyone does? Sorry my algorithm for determining football scores is on the blink.
