Nelson allowed to forearm and push off on every drive. Not sure I understand that. Seems Mark may want to ask the ref nicely if they plan on calling one of those during the second half? If not, needs to instruct our guys to start doing the same.

The second half is going to be about defense and rebounding. If it doesn’t get better we will be dropping this game.

Yep when they showed replay I was like WTF how is that not called a clear push off had someone done that as a guard they call it.

They should called that and they should called Sears travel and they should called the foul when Perry got pushed how do we not get these calls when they all should been then you factor in at home to boot.

That long Robinson missed 3 from 28 feet up 6 has changed the entire ball game. Could pushed the lead to 8 or 9 pts with a solid possession and instead that miss led to a quick 5-0 run (along with Robinson turnover) right after.

Robinson has been great for us this year but that 30 seconds changed this entire game.
I predict he will redeem himself

Amari really wearing on me lately. Puts his head down and tries to create against 4 guys , never goes up strong and he has yet to box out anyone this season
And he's ALL left. So predictable. That's an easy go to defend. Plus, he's extremely challenged to score, anyway. And when he's fouled, he misses the FT's more often than not.

It's fascinating to me that some of our fans don't want to hear Dick Vitale call a game again.

Yes, he was wrong about the Tubby Smith situation, but he's also been invocative to so many of our most emotional, beautiful moments as a program.

He gave us "Monster Mash" and "Thunder and Lightning" and was part of the reason the Kentucky hype train went coast to coast under Pitino. He hyped us like no other in 1993, 1995, and 1996 and warned the country in 1997 that if UK stayed healthy, they would be the team to beat in March that year.

I don't get the anti-Vitale crowd. It's like they weren't even around back in the 1990s when Vitale was our #1 advocate.

Nelson having zero fouls is criminal
The officiating this first half has been the best called game we have had this year. There have been a few missed calls on both teams and to be honest, the game is more fun to watch when the refs don't call every touch they see. Bama has been called for fouls more than we have. The officials have had very very little to do with the score. Bama is a good basketball team with lots of talent, we are a very good basketball team and the score reflects this, not the refs. I would take this crew to call the rest of our games without any hesitations.

We have to do a couple of things to win this one:
- defensive rebound
- right players taking shots
- limit turnovers

He can be frustrating but he’s playing hard. He is leaps and bounds better than Garrison at this point. Especially in a matchup like this

That wing that can drive and get to the rim at will and collapse the defense may end up being our one missing link.

I don't have an opinion either way but as a 91 baby I mostly missed all the above. I got the UNC/Duke love fest Vitale along with the rest of the ESPN crew.

Nelson has gotten away a clear push off. And a an over the back that didn’t get called. The refs have been good but Nelson is getting treated like MJ

We've been playing catch up the entire game so far. Get hot a couple stretches and take the lead. Alabama has been the better team regardless of the score

In fairness, Vitale has always slurped whatever program has been at the top. We weren't at the top during the early 2000s. UNC and Duke certainly were.

I figured they'd come out playing them man to man and bama would take the lead and then uk would come back and then bama would take the lead again.
If you came out in zone this game would have been over long time ago.
But no come out play man to man get your *** handled at home and basically without Alabama shooting the ball well.

We still have a coach that doesn't want to play zone when it needs to be played. It's not rocket science

Alabama shoots 32% from 3 you should play them zone the whole game. You're allowing them to play in this game by playing man-to-man. I'm so tired of coaches doing this dumb ****. So tired.

We had zero made threes last 11 minutes of first half. Bama taking them away from us.
