He has a tendency to play when he wants to play (i.e., contract years). I imagine his productivity will take an immediate down turn and they'll cut him long before that 7th season. Seven years in the NFL is an eternity. The unguaranteed contracts of the NFL can be misleading. All that matters is the signing bonus.

agreed he won't make it anywhere near the 7th year of that contract but still.. that's good work if you can get it

Me and a buddy were talking and felt like he would probably be cut in two years. You won't see another season out of him like the one this year.

but I don't know that there's a defensive tackle in football history worth that kind of money. If there is, the Titans sure as hell couldn't afford to pay it.

The Titans have been known to let go of talent in their contract years. Most of the time they've been dead-on.

No doubt losing a force like Haynesworth is gonna hurt the team, but to get the best outta him they had to put the franchise tag on him, which was loaded with incentives to keep Tenn. from using it again this year.
He'll probably be a monster for DC for about 3/4 of seasons 1 & 2, earlier if they can't sniff the playoffs. Year 3 he'll report overweight, peak at midseason, and tank once again late season. Schadenfreude at it's finest.
