I’m saying when they’re filming and pulling the trigger. You think they clear out everyone and no one could possibly be needed in that direction? Have any of you shot a movie before or are you all just pretending they were at a gun range and he’s a maniac?

I’ve been at many gun ranges. When I fired out of line, they always said, that’s ok, go ahead. Maybe it’s my smile 🤪

I lean conservative and own plenty of guns. I would always act as if a gun were loaded. But if I were an actor that’s held hundreds of guns and shot hundreds of blanks that he doesn’t load or is expected to check I wouldn’t check it either probably. They probably screw around like that all the time on set. To lay the blame at his feet is dumb. I’m sure all the hundreds of actors and extras in saving private Ryan we’re all expected to know how to and to double check their Ammo…🙄.

It’s an accident and it’s not his “fault”.
Duck for cover. The get off my lawn crew will come after you.

Weird, he was told it was a “cold” gun. And there is a person called the “armorer” on set to make sure these things don’t happen. She actually loaded 3 guns for them to use and screwed up. But for sure let’s all blame this on an actor who did what probably every actor you love or hate has done plenty of times.

Alec...take the gun...take out any shells if there are any before pointing a gun at someone and pulling the trigger...also, don't point a gun at someone unless you are defending yourself and are "prepared" (mentally) to kill that person.

Shew whee. This topic really has Ed triggered. Go watch an episode of Cuties Ed. That will take the edge off.
Trust me, he ain’t got an edge. Unfortunately. It’s up to the mods. And I feel for them. They have no choice but to digest his ****. Could ban me for talking **** about him, I’m assuming. Gonna take a, never mind. You’ll know what and when.

I've seen a picture of what was supposed to be the weapon, a revolver. If one looked at the cylinder, one could see the end of the cartridge to determine if there is a projectile on the end of the cartridge. That's a psychological advantage of a revolver. The bad guy can actually see the bullets if you have to point it at him. Of course if there was only a single round already lined up with the barrel, one couldn't see without opening the cylinder.

I always say, if someone wants to spy up my rectum with a camera while I sleep-that’s their business not mine 😂
I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy on the same visit. Before they put me under, I admonished them simply to not use the same scope for each procedure.

Wtf is wrong with society?? I guess because many hate Baldwin's politics many seem to be giddy this happened to him. Someone died here in a tragic accident, but most are coming off like Baldwin deserved this to happen to himself.
I also see many who don't grasp movie gun scenes. You think actors are trained in fire arms and are checking the chamber?? No, there are people who's job it is to so that before the actor gets the gun. That's who failed here.
And it seems most don't understand in many scenes you are shooting in the direction of the people filming.
It's a horrible tragedy and shouldn't be pseudo celebrated because you hate someone involved.
God help us all. Society has become a cease pool over damn politics. Guess what, both parties suck and are evil. They also don't give a **** about you.
I knew this thread would go like this, but I had a slim hope people wouldn't be so ignorant, but nope. True to form, we are doomed.
Of all the **** that’s gone on over the years, of all the terrible things that’s been said/done, of all the quick conclusions and lives ruined due to the court of public opinion/social media mobs (with media/Hollywood being the main culprits)......you choose to die on the Alec Baldwin hill. Well done.

Read an interesting opinion on Twitter earlier: The first meaningful, bipartisan gun control law (mandatory safety training for ownership) could be coming soon. It’s not going to come from a school shooting or a mass murder event, but from an accidental discharge of a prop gun, by an actor, on a film set. I think it’s actually possible and ridiculous at the same time.

How was this an accidental discharge? I'll hang up and listen.

Loaded or unloaded, a weapon never gets pointed at another human being,” Hollywood firearms consultant Bryan Carpenter of Dark Thirty Film Services told The Post.
Yes because he’s going to say, “Well sometimes we screw around, go all frat boy and play cowboys and Indians. It’s a real shoot em up good time when you all aren’t looking!”

I’m sure when a reporter asks a guy if there’s any derogatory, racial or gay slurs used in the locker room when the guys are screwing around and they say no you believe that too?

Other things nail believes;

Everyone fills out their health insurance applications truthfully.

Everyone pays all their taxes.

OJ didn’t kill anyone.

Tubby Smith is going to run a faster pace offense this year.

When you can only see the world through your eyes, views, opinions, perspective and wouldn’t know empathy if it slapped your mother it must be nice to always be right in your own mind.
You always show such great empathy. I'm very proud of the fact that I don't show empathy to Alec Baldwin who is one of the worst human beings that's ever walked the planet.
