Its good and bad at the same time.
They shove a lot of DEI stuff down our throats.... just like most shows these days. Once you get passed that you will enjoy it.

Anytime we start a new series on streaming, we always guess if it will be episode 2 or 3 when the agenda starts creeping in.
Seriously? Where the hell did you see DEI in this? Did the eyeball with tentacles support Biden or something?
I mean, look no further than the name of the show. Essentially glorifying illegal immigration to the entire planet. Wake the 17 up bruh.
Are you talking about the future dystopian corporatocracy shown? Legit cannot think of any DEI elements, other than just having a diverse cast. The future corporations having too much power and screwing things up is a running theme in all the Alien movies going back to the original.

You have to wake up every day listening to the conflict entrepreneurs and make sure you are properly outraged at the latest thing "they" are doing.
If you see DEI in this show it’s because you want to see it.

I felt like it was pretty obvious that with a few of the "actors" got the job just on the basis of their race/ethnicity.
My left boot has better acting ability then a few of these twerps.

Which actors/characters? The most diverse group of characters are the Lost Boys. You need to remember that these actors are portraying characters that have the mind of a child in a grown persons body.

Anyway, Olyphant has been in some great series through the years. Deadwood (one of the absolute best shows of all time IMO), Justified. I even liked the weird, funny and gross zombie thing he did with Drew Barrymore, Santa Clarita Diet.
Looking forward to this. Will binge when I have time.

The only ones i have any care for so far as Timothys version of the synth or whatever he is trying to be. The main chick with the blank SSRI stare most of the time... i do seem to like her character for whatever reason and Morrow of the ship that crashed. those 3 seem like they have been around a camera before at least. the rest i just can't believe when they talk. I get it that they are trying to act like children... maybe thats what is throwing their acting ability in the trash...
I was mainly watching the show for the Xeno's and that threw me for the loop when they killed all that people instead of taking them to the eggs. Shouldnt that be the main focus of Xeno's?

I've enjoyed it even though the characters are some of the stupidest mother-17ers in human history. But it is for all intents and purposes a horror show and has to follow the "people do stupid shi!t and get killed for it" methodology.
Maybe they got the jobs because they know someone, so it isnt DEI and its just good old fashioned and celebrated nepotism...or its networking that tightrope walks nepotism.
Maybe they got the jobs because of merit and they were the best candidates, based on who showed, was available for filming, and would accept the offered pay.
I have only seen the 2 episodes that were released together at the start. I didnt see any forced DEI in the episodes, but I also dont watch shows hoping to be offended or outraged .
Well, I’ll at least offer this up, since its all turned political. Its certainly true that facehuggers don’t pay federal income tax, and therefore aren’t paying into Medicare / Social Security. But at the same time, its hard to argue that they aren’t removing a huge burden from the healthcare system as a whole…..when you look at the big picture.
Whether or not xenomorphs are granted birthright citizenship is another discussion, but the Constitution currently allows it.
