Alabama’s are the most bland and boring jersey in the conference and I’m tired of people propping them up because they’re traditional
I have them at #10. Based off our current unis, if you replaced gay &tate with numbers on our helmets, took the stripes off the sleeves, and gave us a grey face mask, I might would have ranked us a little higher too like them.

Gray/silver has never really been a school color for us. We, like few other schools have only used it to spice up the color combinations. And Black being brought in as a large primary color on occasion is sort of the same thing.....a promotional deal. We are a 2 color school, Maroon & White just like TAMU is. Not a whole lot you can do with that.
While this is all true, it's an age of change. Also one thing that does bother is that aTm and State are partnered with adidas and we look like twins often.

I wish State could go to another apparel company and go with the 1986 uniform, modernized. Helmet stripes, silver pants with m/w piping. That would give us a slightly different look than aTm.

It's ok to not have a single opinion about a uniform of your team or any team. Who cares.
Yea it’s ok not too, I like to let people think and do what they want. But I personally think that you should care and have an opinion. There can be many reasons you could care or have an opinion, if not for yourself, but for others. Here’s an AI overview that might help you find a few reasons to start caring and have an opinion:
AI Overview:

People care about football uniforms for a variety of reasons, encompassing both the players and the fans
.
For players:
  • Team Unity and Identity: Wearing the same uniform fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens the team's identity. According to Bettors Insider and Belly Up Sports, the design of football uniforms is crucial for creating a sense of unity among players.
  • Psychological Impact: Uniforms can influence players' mental states and performance. Studies suggest that colors can influence aggression levels and self-perception. For instance, teams wearing black uniforms have been found to be more aggressive, while red uniforms are associated with higher testosterone levels. Wearing the team's colors can create a sense of identity and pride, boosting confidence.
  • Performance and Comfort: Modern uniforms are designed with advanced fabrics that prioritize player comfort, mobility, and temperature regulation, directly impacting performance.
  • Equality and Inclusivity: Uniforms symbolize that every player, regardless of role, is an integral part of the team, fostering a sense of equality.
For fans:
  • Connecting with the team: Wearing team colors and jerseys allows fans to feel like a part of the team and show their support.
  • Community and Belonging: Jerseys foster social cohesion and allow fans to connect with others who support the same team. Seeing a stadium filled with fans wearing team colors builds excitement and team pride.
  • Fan Engagement and Loyalty: Uniform design can significantly influence fan engagement and loyalty.
  • Sense of Ritual and Tradition: For many fans, wearing a jersey on game day is a cherished tradition that connects them to their team and its history.
Beyond aesthetics:
  • Brand Identity and Recognition: Uniforms are a critical element in establishing and maintaining a team's identity and brand recognition.
  • Marketing: Uniforms serve as a powerful marketing tool, promoting the team's brand and merchandise.
In essence, football uniforms are far more than just pieces of clothing; they are symbols of identity, unity, and belonging, playing a significant role in shaping the experiences of both players and fans.

We’ve used gray/silver in every sport since the mid to early 80’s. That’s almost 45 years now.

Not to mention we had grey face masks since the mid 50’s. Didn’t change them to white until the late 70’s.

Hey, That looks about where our team performance rankings hit too. It kind of hurts to be looking up to Vandy in football... Can we do something about that?

I just don't understand why we can't go with what we did vs Kentucky a few years ago. Or this below...

It’s not that complicated. Just do this & be done with it. Don’t touch it for 20 years, or just never.

The current jersey is close to the 96-03 jersey just cleaner. Y'all just want that ugly *** logo is what you want. Which isn't a part of the university brand.IMG_6449.png
