Is it on the coach to realize that your QB can't throw? Yeah, perhaps, but the play calls worked. If he completes the first to a wide open Bumphis 20 yards down the field, we are flying high with tons of momentum. If he completes the second pass for a first down and doesn't throw it at the ankles, we get a first down and keep it going. The 3rd down call wasn't fantastic, but it still could have been a first down if he doesn't throw it in the dirt. Hard to know what to call when your QB can't throw the ball to an open WR.
