the whole JSU/MSU thing turned out to be a real positive for our university and for our state. We get an acholade for putting it together. And every gets a little different impression about MS than they might have had.

It was a fun game, partly because we won and we moved the ball. But, it was good to have a packed house for an intrastate game, too.

inside & close to the stadium instead of being out on the hiways ready to recieve 54,000 fans in cars leaving the stadium. Late in the 4th qtr. they were showing off their pretty new dodge chargers, escalades & such over by the north end-zone when they should have been out on the hwys helping the traffic flow out of S-ville. It was a huge mess at Mayhew . There is no need to have that many hiway patrol cars bottled up in the north endzone at the end of a ball game.

And I'd like to see more games against Jackson State (as well as games against Alcorn and Valley). What with USM setting an attendance record in their game against Alcorn (over 36,000 in attendance-- besting the 2003 record set when the Eagles hosted Nebraska), I'd like Alcorn to be next.

we would be willing to give Alcorn 35,990 tickets, however.

I really enjoyed every aspect of the game. I know the Sonic Boom of the South isn't everyone's cup of tea but I loved it. I guess I just noticed during the game that we are all parts of Mississippi even if we reflect different aspects of our culture and I enjoyed that we could celebrate that. Maybe this is because I've spent some time in East Tennessee lately and let me tell you, I'll take our black/white culture and issues over those hillbilly freaks any day of the week. Those people scare the crap out of me.
