11-1 with THIS defense?

I feel like we'd be worldbeaters in the PAC-12 espeically with a Brad White led defense.

What would Georgia's TEs have done against USC defense? It would've been ugly. Bennett would have had 2 TEs go over 100 yards receiving easy.

Georgia
Michigan
TCU
Ohio St

Final 4 and I agree even if TCU loses to KState, they'll get in.

And Georgia gets screwed because the committee won't put two teams from the same conference against each other in the semis. Osu is better than tcu so why will theu be 4 otherwise? Uga gets a tougher road now. They will beat both big 10 teams though and that woll be glorious to watch.

Looks good for Ohio State, but if Purdue upsets Michigan tomorrow I doubt the committee will put two Big 10 teams in the CFP.

Don't see it. Tcu already beat kstate and is clearly the best team in the big 12.

No way committee would make michigan play osu in the semifinals either. And no way bama with 2 losses jumps to 3.

I stand by my stance tcu stays at 3 no matter tomorrows outcome.
Agree. TCU could lose by a bunch and still make it over a 10-2 Bama. They might not hold #3 if they lose by 30 or more however.

Not a USC fan but didn't want to see them lose and now OSU is in. Ga. deserves playing a #4 USC or TCU not a #4 OSU but that appears how it going to be since committee I assume will not want a OSU-Mich rematch in the Semis.

They aren't supposed to do that but we know they will. They aren't suppose to pay attention to if they are n same conference.

We’re gonna end up with OSU and Bama backdooring their way into the playoff. Such BS.

Hate these teams so much.

USC just looked like they gave up defensively in the second half. Players out of position, arm tackling, bad angles. They did not look like a playoff team at all. They've got a lot of talent on offense but I think they would be a 8-4 SEC team. Utah is a better team and more physical.

People are bitching on twitter about tOSU backing into the playoffs but honestly who else would you put over them for the 4th spot?

This is a year where a second real OOC game would have helped Alabama. Another win over a Top 20 team and you’d have a case for putting them ahead of Ohio State with two losses.

I know it won't happen but Bama should get in over tOSU IMO. Bama has 2 tough road losses by a total of 4 points while tOSU had the debacle at home.
I would argue that Bama with 1, 4 and 6 point wins and 2 losses is a weaker pick than tOSU who dominated in every other game except Michigan. Bama's schedule was a bit harder but not really that much difference and when you look at all the scores it's pretty obvious which team is more dominate.

tOSU also has a road win over a Top 10 team. As I stated in another post, Alabama needed another OOC game against a real team this year.

I wouldn't use 'dominant' to describe either. You can't lose at home by 22 to your biggest rival in the last game of the season and describe your season as dominant. If it had occurred early, you could say they'd improved.

I didn't say they were dominant, I said they were dominant in every other game - they beat Wisconsin by 31, MSU by 29, Iowa by 44, Indiana by 42 etc. now look at Bama's scores many of which were squeakers.

One game doesn't define a team, you have to look at their entire body of work. UGA lost to Bama last year and went on to win the Natty.

Irrelevant, I know but head to head at a neutral site, who are you putting your money on, Bama or tOSU?

Resumes are pretty similar between OSU and Bama. OSU has the better notable wins but also the ugliest loss, although only one loss vs Bama’s two close losses. I don’t think Bama’s resume is good enough to warrant jumping OSU.

Alabama notable wins:
@ Texas (21) by 2 points.
Miss St (25) by 24 points.

Avg Margin of Victory in 2022: 22 point

OSU notable wins:
Notre Dame (19) by 11 points.
@ Penn State (8) by 13 points.

Avg Margin of Victory in 2022: 25 points

Who plays 2 tough OOC games?
Georgia played two P5’s although that would admittedly be tougher in past years when Georgia Tech was pretty good. But some leagues, like the B1G, play nine conference games. So Ohio State played ten real games, Alabama only played nine. Basically I’m just saying there just isn’t enough there to justify putting Alabama over Ohio State with two losses. I wish there was.

1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3, no matter the conference

I'm going to turn this into the all conference championships thread to avoid multiple threads.

TCU vs. KState about to start
Game played at Jerry World (AT&T Stadium) or 19 miles from TCU campus. Would enjoy watching Horn Frogs pull this off.

I was a little surprised at the TCU +1. Almost got +2.5 but it moved on me.
