I was in school back in Backer's day.

Some of our mutual friends beat Ole Miss in a bridge tournament back then.
That's a card game for old folks,

Like that's any kind of sport.

Beating Ole Miss, Bama for real, or any other of our hated rivals, in anything...

Is a good day. This is a good weekend for us.

There was a very large crowd at the baseball game in Oxford today.
Hope most of them was ours.

...the Ole Miss bridge players gave up, when they were down over $2250.00, or 22,500 points. Bridge is a wonderful card game, when played on a high level is just as mentally stimulating as high level chess. In 1967, $2250.00 was a lot of money.
