Maybe Schiano has learned something. What he was pushed off at right after the biggest win in school history he is now having fun with. Good sign.

You're absolutely right, if Gay had not jumped off sides we would have lost not having that second shot at the field goal.
Except Ito wasn't expecting the snap to happen that fast. It was snapped prematurely BECAUSE Gay jumped offsides.
People forget that Harris snapped the ball early because he saw Gay offsides. It was a smart play- freebie.

Not necessarily true. Ito looked up at an offside player having a free run at him. He doesn't go offsides, Ito probably doesn't look up.
This and it’s been discussed here so many times. Watch the replay. He looks up and hesitates then kicks. That’s never a good thing for kickers or in my case golfers.
The team played great. Huge win. If this is your take on the game then you’re a loser. If you’re just being a wise guy then it’s just a loser post.
It was a great game at the end of the fourth quarter and we stalled with seconds left. I was sitting 50' from Gay when he jumped off sides. Interpret my post as you wish but that was a game changer. And I enjoyed your sons career during his time on the banks. Congrats

Wrong. The only reason Harris snapped it was because of the fact that Gay jumped....
Also we had all the momentum and UL didnt cross midfield after the midway point in the second quarter IIRC. We were winning that game if it went to OT.
That's why it's not legal to go offsides, because it affects the outcome of the play, which it clearly did in this case. Just like if you are fouled taking a shot in basketball you might miss the shot...if a player gets hacked taking a game winning shot, therefore misses it, but then makes the foul shots to win the game would that be considered lucky?
