Patience is needed. Riley inherited a mess and I don't get the feeling his leadership style lends itself to fast turnarounds. Yes I know NU was 9-4 last year. But teams built on solid foundations don't give up 408 yards in 3 quarters to one player with several high round NFL draft picks on its roster (that aren't here this year). Let's see what next year brings.

Its funny that people expect so much with a depleted group of players. it is amazing that they have the opportunity to have been in tight games throughout the year. We play Purdue with a backup that throws for 400 yards lose by 10. We also give them 5 turnovers. If we were minus 5 in turnovers under Pelini we would have been beat by 30 or more. Purdue lost 21-24 to Michigan State who was #3 in the country at that time in East Lansing. Point being any team can be beat on any given day no matter how good you think your team is.

What in heavens name are you smoking? This team and coaching staff are both awful. Furthermore, nothing in Riley's past would suggest even the slightest possibility that he has the wherewithal to build a "solid foundation". Also, this loss is far worse than the 408 yards. Get a grip.

Nothing, but it may benefit you to smoke something to calm yourself down. I'm not willing to call this bad coaching yet based on the roster and injury situation. While you may disagree with that stance, it is in no way so radical an opinion that you should suggest I'm smoking something. Get a grip yourself and come at me with a thought out opinion. Thanks chief.

How many games do we loose before it is not knee jerk? We're stuck for 3 years unless MR resigns. We're still paying Bo. It's gonna be a while before the ship is righted. Sell-out streak in serious danger right now. Season ticket renewals next season are going to fall off like never before. It's gonna be sad to see. I plan to keep my 4 but it becomes harder to pull the trigger.

Not bad coaching yet....
You need more evidence?
Essentially the same personnel gave up 7 points to Purdue last year. Nope coaching's good.

the defensive problems same as oregon state. all the penalties same as oregon state. throwing the ball alot not balance offense same. sean mannion started 43 games at oregon state he threw the ball 1838 times. that comes out to 43 a game.

Crinin and studed, there are some disturbing trends that have carried over from Oregon state. I just feel that there are too many variables right now to pin it on the coaches. There is a reason that coaches aren't seriously evaluated for a couple of years, and it is isolating those variables. I'm not particularly hopeful at this point either, but there is just too much going on in the program that isn't attributed to Riley. It needs to be his before we can judge him.

I really like MR but he's not a good fit here.. Not schematic or cultural, he's a west coast guy and that marriage with N and the Midwest doesn't compute.. Just doesn't..
