Why even try to break them up? They have helmets and pads. Let them try & beat the **** out of each other. If they want to fight, let them fight
Agree, let them go. Mike Leach sure didn't give a shlt.

I like the flag planting. Shows passion in a game where there's continually less of it over time, and more about money.

What's most hilarious is the sanctimonious announcers, acting like "muh HoW cOuLd ThIs HaPpEn"

Maybe instead of planting a flag, the schools could get together design some sort of trophy the winning team can parade around the stadium?

The flag planting is dumb. You won the game. Celebrate all you want, but you dint have to disrespect the opposing team and school like that. OTOH, I'm not sure it's worth fighting over, either.

The craziest quote of the day, to me, was the Michigan player who called the OSU players classless and said they should learn how to handle defeat. Maybe UM needs to learn how to handle winning?
.
I didn't like UF taking over the Rebels' stupid basketball goal last week....but I imagine it was sitting right there and it was something UMiss had been celebrating with during the game, so at least that celebration made some sense. And it was UF's stadium.

I would be happy if MSU could even plant an MSU flag on our own field!

Talking heads need to quit whining about it on espn . We need more
Yes, I agree with you. With the direction of college football I would love to see more incidents like the one between OSU and Michigan. Let's raise the entertainment bar above just a football game and let them fight it out to see who the superior team really is.

I watched the espn video of the fight and even tough the announcer and espn were loving it they were saying it was a stain on the wonderful rivalry. If they truly felt it was a stain why are they promoting it?

Goes to show how much as a society, kids look at social media and want their own video.
It's well shown that social media has 17ed the brains of tens of millions and there are countless legitimate examples showing how.
There is no need to try and force additional reasons into the discussion, especially ones that are easily disproven.

100%. And I’ll be stoked to see the fight that transpires.
Wouldn't be a fight if OM planted a traditional Confederate Flag right in the middle of our M-State logo on the 50 yd line. We'd just roll over, looking for a tummy rub from our red-headed stepchild.

It's my theory that the late game players saw the OSU/UM scuffle and wanted their own scuffle to make espn news.

You know, I just don’t see kudzu like I did growing up. As a kid that stuff was everywhere. I know a couple of ravines that are still overgrown with it but outside of that I’d be hard pressed to show you what kudzu is. Another thing is cockelburrs, growing up every fence row was covered with them and now I don’t think I could even take you to one.
West TN is eat up with it and I seem to see it in a good bit of places when I’m back in north and central MS but I agree that it hasn’t spread like I’d think it would but maybe it’s just being controlled better. It’s amazing that we haven‘t concocted a kudzu-specific herbicide.

So, I assume you are ok with bat flips and trash talking around the base paths.

However, not in favor of the next batter getting beaned in retaliation??
Bat flips at appropriate times, like a walk off Grand Slam, are fine. A bat flip when you are up or down by 5 or more would be stupid. Same with trash talking. If it is taunting, I don't like it.

So winning a game you are a double digit underdog in can call for an expressive celebration.

For those that don't like the flag planted on their home field, my opinion is that you should have worked beaten the team in the first place. Heck, if I was a State coach, I would have been glad if Ole Miss planted a crappy OM flag at midfield after a loss. They basically plant one when they beat you. Make the guys watch it. You don't want that to happen, then work harder for the next year, but I don't think we have that type of coach.
