i was reading over on BDJ on cb9s thread, and so many people referring to SPS as not credible....

Wasn't the term "Ninja" started here, and it was later coined on 6 oclock news on TVA?

Weren't people tracking airplanes on during the coaching search only to find out in a day or two, athletic officials had the flight logs pulled because of it?

and one more,

Manny Diaz's name was first mentioned on the Pack, moved to BDJ, people began giving it cred, and then he becomes coach?

I'm sure that I'm missing a few instances as well.....people do read the pack for credible info

I find more credible info over here than I ever found on genespage......all the good recruiting info in on BDJ......

I remember the whole David Murray saga, whereupon said person categorically denied that the uniforms depicted in the photo were samples for those that would be reproduced for the entire team (and there may have been only slight changes to the final product).

to believe but, I told yall a couple of weeks ago that Sidney would not be cleared. Now folks are saying that the NCAA does not have anything on Sidney, but I assure you that they have plenty on his family (which still kills his eligibility)

For every story "broken" on the Pack, you have to deal with a hundred lies. Posts like CB9's are the norm rather than the exception. The broken stories are the exception by far.

And, at the time the story is broken on here, none of us can tell the truth from a lie. Unless you are an extremely gullible person who believes everything he "hears", then broken news on the Pack does you no good because there is no distinction between the truth and the hundred of lies flowing through the board. We only know the real deal when it is revealed. When everybody else finds out.

The Pack is what it is. It's a fun place to interact with MSU fans, but don't try to make it a credible news source. It's not. Don't confuse a few rumors that come true with being a credible source of reliable information.

rumor-mongering is encouraged here, which is great. Other outlets can't afford to go forward with something until it's a done deal. Of course, for every Lott rumor there's a Cam Newton to State or Petersen is on a plane, but DS and HD6 have done a good job at least recently of punishing repeat offenders.

I'll give you guys credit. A lot of things pop up over here no question about it. There is a lot of craziness as well... but you guys do a good job of getting the things you hear on the board. Some are true some are not, but you guys get it on the board quickly.

You guys have something going for you that no one else has... you're not accountable to anyone. You can run with it when you hear it no matter how may sound or how crazy t may be. That is a big advantage and you guys use it well.

That's not to say everything here isn't believable because some of you guys have some pretty good sources.

Most people come here for the entertainment, but you do provide information...at times it isn't believable at first but with time you've been proven correct on some things.

That isn't necessarily the case with BDJ and Genespage. We know that basically entire athletic department reads it because they have said so, but administrators read as well. Many of these people, regardless of their position, want to "break" news. They are anonymous on Sixpack, where as Gene and BDJ ask for payment and names. A popular site like this will always have more news.

Bingo! Entertainment and breaking information. Even the guys who run this board ask for some other confirmation on rumors before they give any validity to a post of inside information. Lastly, as far as I have seen in their history they have never even pretended to be anything other than this. They never try to filter out the idiots but instead let them filter out themselves. You better have your **** in one bucket before you try to post amongst these guys.

Anyone that puts blind faith in a public internet forum and expects it to be accurate or reliable is an ignorant human being. If you want credibility, pay someone to be credible for you. That's why places like BDJ exist. Otherwise, don't be bitching about what is said on a forum that answers to no one and encourages rumor mongering and disparagement of a variety of things important to MSU fans. Use some common sense and learn to filter through the BS. It's not that hard.

Like I said there, I don't post here often, but I do read often. I belong to almost every MSU related site, and each is unique in various ways. I vew The Pack as a fun place where you can be yourself and not be concerned with "thought police" unless you do somthing really dumb. Now, if ya'll would just reinstate the Arse of The Day by Mad Dawg ....oh well, can't have everything I guess...lol

Quit trying to be a message board hero and win brownie points on 6pack. 80% of the posters on the board (who are also members on here) basically told CB9 to grow up or get a life. So who are these many people on that thread that is saying 6pack is not credible?
