Allow me to state the obvious

I still think this team has the ability to win the West and sneak into the Tournament this year, but if we're going to have any shot at reaching our potential next year, assuming Jarvis is back, Rick has got to go out and find a JUCO center or Branden Vincent type forward.

I think its pretty obvious that the 4 guard plus Jarvis lineup is probably our most talented lineup. However, with a road game like this, you have to win or come close to winning the rebound category, and I think Romero should start maybe from here on out. He is a good shooter and is the future scorer of this team. Its obvious he is tough and has talent, and I think we need his size to help us against teams like LSU that have size. Have Phil come off the bench, because I think Barry still has more talent than him. I just think we need Romero's size and ability to rebound on the court.

and then when we lose. It's pretty simple right now.

You are right though that we could use some help in the paint.

it would be nice if Kodi would get his head out of his ***. Probably too much to ask for though.

Stansbury should not have fed this young team the whole "we are the team to beat" stuff to such a young team. This team needs to be tough and fight every night for wins, and I think we came in tonight thinking we owned the joint and found out that LSU didnt care what weve done the last 5 games and took it too us. Dee looked like he was reading his press clippings too much and we shot WAY too many 3's tonight. Randy never shows up on the road, and Ravern cant take 9 shots with 7 of those being 3's. He has to slash and get to the FT line on the road. Jarvis showed up like he always does on the road, and the rest of the team shot us to a blowout loss. If we dont figure out how to play on the road, we wont make the tourney this year.</p>

We got dominated on the boards and went cold from the field. Not to mention Bost didnt have a game to remember, 0-6 from the field and I'm not sure how many turnovers. The 4 gaurd lineup has worked but we have to have some sort of presence on the glass to be successful.

you would have seen this coming. They really attack the basket and have some good, mature athletes. There was no way to match-up to them with a 4 guard line-up. They have the SEC's best starting 5 and should win the West.

I've been saying Osby should be starting for awhile now...hopefully tonight will clue our coach in.

Well lately Osby has been getting some really tough baskets to fall and he is starting to open up his shot more when he comes in. He is money from the baseline and can hit the 3 pointer. If he can get consistent from out there, he needs to be on the floor. We cant afford to continue to give up as many offensive rebounds as we are. We have to have a legit PF to play against the elite SEC teams because when they get 2nd chances they dont miss. If Stansbury actually payed attention to the game tonight, he will give Romero more minutes on the road saturday at Georgia.

I could be wrong, and if so please provide a link or something, but I don't recall Stans or any of the other coaches feeding the "we are the team to beat" stuff this week. I know there was an article in the CL talking about the opportunity to go 2 games up in the West, but I took that as more of the coaches telling the team that they had an opportunity to put themselves in a really good position and to be ready. I did not get the impression that the coaching staff was stroking egos or anything and telling them how good they were, maybe that's just me though. I don't think Stans is that type of coach. He seems to take every team seriously and seems to always talk up the opposition no matter who it is. Hell last year he tried to paint Auburn coming here as a dangerous game.

I was surprised we got blown out tonight, but not really surprised we lost. I thought it could go either way and hoped we would come out on top. From what I listened to it just sounded like we had a bad shooting night and couldn't get stops when we needed them. LSU got hot and put us away. Credit to LSU. We're still in a good position for the West and the overall, though that's probably a long shot. We need to bounce back Saturday.

This is the scout website where Dee said that coach told them they are the team to beat in the West, and if we take care of business tonight we are the team to beat. If your surprised, I am too. With a young team like this, I cant believe he told them that. I dont care whether its to your team in private or in public, a young team like this doesnt need stuff like that floating around in their head right before a very important road game.
