I’m sticking with my claim...we still got this thing on track?
I don’t know man.. no perimeter D combined with no post production seems like a tough row to hoe.I’m sticking with my claim.
Man if we had not had Hubbard the last 3 years, I hate to think how bad it would be.What PrimeDog said. Jans is a joke along with every assistant coach we have. We have no talent on the floor except for Hub. I want to know who is in charge of blowing thru $13M in NIL money with this team we have. Remember Bama’s best player didn’t even play tonight. They have two freshmen studs. Gonna be a long year.
Thank Ole Miss for firing their coach!Man if we had not had Hubbard the last 3 years, I hate to think how bad it would be.
it would have been rick ray badMan if we had not had Hubbard the last 3 years, I hate to think how bad it would be.
I agree. Somebody said on here we need to “keep the core” and build around them. Who is the core? Virtually everybody is a senior except Hub, Euro and Davis-Fleming.The way Jans yells at the players isn't working. They get worse when he does that. Whatever method he is using, they are worse because of it.
Holy crap. The church league has better audio at their games. It's like we don't literally have students majoring in AV and production. Oh wait....we do. The entire problem seems to be the mix/EQ. A half assed sound engineer could dial in the mix and clear up all the audio in a half hour. Start with live mics. Then do video. Then do DJ. Then do the live music (played during breaks or for the cheerleaders/dance team). Lock in the settings for each and it should never need anything more than minor adjustments. The music was insanely loud with a shrill of high end in the mix that was just painful, and I routinely play in front of 2 cranked guitar amps, and last night was way worse. With the right EQ, you make anything damn near as loud as you want without it being unpleasant, as long as you dial out the frequencies that are unpleasant to the human ear. No one can understand a single word of audio. That is not an equipment issue.I was there. Pretty pathetic the way it played out. Just a note; they(AD) need to do something, anything, about the DJ*, the music, the acoustics, etc. the announcers, everything. Everything audio related.
carry on.
So much distortion.Holy crap. The church league has better audio at their games. It's like we don't literally have students majoring in AV and production. Oh wait....we do. Don't get me started at how ridiculous it looks that they took away more than half of the student seating behind the goal. When they did the reading the newspaper bit, it looked ridiculous because it showed the line of demarcation behind the goal of the students engaged in the bit, and the "others" just sitting there looking bored - as they did the whole game. And most of the seats are the band. The band was great BTW. So now we have basically no presence behind the goal to distract opponents, etc.
Thought it was just the old man coming out in me but agree, the music is ear splitting. I like to crank it up as much as the next guy but GD, dial it back a smidge and and take the top off. DNF isn't much better.Holy crap. The church league has better audio at their games. It's like we don't literally have students majoring in AV and production. Oh wait....we do. Amazing, another staff on this campus that can’t evaluate talent for sh*t,What PrimeDog said. Jans is a joke along with every assistant coach we have. We have no talent on the floor except for Hub. We’ve got one coach who can for sure evaluate talent.Amazing, another staff on this campus that can’t evaluate talent for sh*t,
Just plugging holes & hoping for the best
Demi's tatas never looked better than in her dress whites (Striptease notwithstanding)
They need to pass out novocane at the Hump so fans can endure Jans basketball.
Should have let him walk and snagged Will Wade when we had the chance. Now Jans is getting embarrassed regularly by real coaches in the SEC.
Yeah, I noticed he can get pretty rough at times on the players. Maybe they need it, but I would rather see him do the rough stuff in practice. Try to encourage them more during gametime. We still don't have the outside shooting needed to win in modern day college basketball. BAMA has all 5 players shooting the 3 no matter how tall or short they are. A 2 pt shot for them is an afterthought or a putback after an offensive rebound. The way Jans yells at the players isn't working. They get worse when he does that. Whatever method he is using, they are worse because of it.
I knew it was bad, but I don’t think I even realized that it’s been that bad. Even the guys that weren’t complete busts basically came and went after a season.I've always been a Jans fan, even before he got to Hail State. I sat in seats of the Jackson coliseum on a December afternoon and watched his NMSU team just manhandle all of Howland's legacy 4 and 5 star players. But the wheels have come off. Don't know what it is, but the quality of athletes he and his staff have brought in from the portal have just been awful overall. Below is a list of portal gets for his 4 years (might have missed a couple). But really nothing to move the needle. I don't know if its an evaluation problem or a coaching problem or a combination of both, but this current staff is not going to get it done at Mississippi State. No quality player is gonna want to play in his stale offense. If I'm not mistaken, Jans is making north of 4 mill and if so, the product on the floor doesn't warrant anywhere near that. They look totally uncoached. Hubbard will probably save him one more year, unless he plays his final year elsewhere. I don't know what the future holds or what the answers are, but I can say that I'm thoroughly sick of watching the crap the staff is running out onto the floor.
