Loyola making the better adjustments and playing well. Edwardsville offense seems to be getting more and more conservative with each play.

Rhys Logan is an extremely talented athlete. Has had difficulty meeting coaching expectations in the past but, man, it's nice to see him finally get a shot.

Bullie just can't get going on the (other) injured knee. Cabanban (soph)- out, Flores (soph)- out since Provi game, down to Gavric and Logan. Young guys need to protect the rock.

Eville is much bigger than I thought. Will be an interesting 2nd half

Final: Loyola 17, Edwardsville 10. Not the blowout some predicted. E'ville had their chances, but Loyola played the better game. Congrats to Loyola on the victory. As always, a great program. Good luck in the state title game next week! Congrats to Eville on a good season. The Tigers had a rough start, but kept going all season long and finished strong. I think many of us look forward to seeing them in action again next season with several returning players.

Eh, not really. Evansville made no credible threat to tie the score. Good defense, though. Kept the game from being a blow out. LA had a few good chances to score and came away with nothing.

I don't know as much about "Evansville" as you do, but I know a little about Edwardsville. If you've followed them all season long, then you know that they are a big play team. Just when they seem like their rushing game is bottled up, they go for a 60 yard touchdown. That kind of outcome was certainly a possibility in a 7 point game (Eville had some missed chances as well). Credit to the Loyola defense though. Loyola earned the win.

Their losses were to NC (aka The Collapse), ESL and CBC, which is playing in the MO big school finals next week.
