So with this win today which coach has the worst 3rd year performance of any in the modern wvu football era? Let me hear his name
As usual I let the numbers do the talking.
Dana Horgorsen in his 1st 3 Big 12 seasons was 11-16 in Big 12 games.
Neal Brown in his 1st 3 Big 12 seasons is 10-15 in Big 12 games.
Neal is 17-17 overall compared to Dana’s 18-20 overall.
Counting only Big 12 games is comparing apples to apples. Using overall is comparing apples to oranges.
So if Neal beats Kansas then he will be 11-15 to Dana’s 11-16, one loss better than Dana. If WVU loses to Kansas then Neal will be 10-16, one loss worse than Dana. So Kansas determines whether Neal or Dana has the worst 3-season record in Big 12 games. Pretty much the 2 worst 3-year records for a WVU coach by both since Frank Cignetti (1976-79). Like 2 shriveled peas in a pod. Neither anything to brag about.
Obviouslyy if Neal beats Kansas then WVU will be in a bowl game but it would be, again, comparing apples to oranges, win or lose, to use overall season records.
Those are the numbers talking. Yell at them.
