Over on Nafoom they are complaining that Nutt got a 1 year contract extension. Don't get me wrong, I think that is great news but how the hell did he pull that off after laying a massive pile of **** in Oxford all year long?

Those rebel fans are complete and utter dumbshits. They are pissed that we bitchslapped them and that it's not getting any better for them. Nutt is the best they can do, plain and simple.

Nutt may have hit a little complacent lull this year, but he's got the resume. He needs to find himself some aggressive recruiters to get himself out of this hole. I thought Derrick Nix was it, but none of his players have turned out worth a ****. Unfortunately for them, they are going against Mullen, Hughesand Melvin on the other side.

Most people that underperform at their job are fired or take a pay cut, much less get a raise or contract extension. Personally, I am willing to put up with his Joe College Rah Rah ******** just long enough to seen Pete Boone retire or die. I do not under any circumstances want him in charge of another coaching search.

Lest we forget, Boone thoughtOrgeron was a good coach. Boone is like the office manager who buys a $9 coffee maker for an office that drinks 15 pots a day. Cheap bastard.</p>

he cans a significant portion of his staff, with the underlying intent for recruiting purposes.

other than that i got nothing. if that's not the reason then it is a baffling move.

AD's like to keep their coaches at the state maximum 4 year contract because it reassures recruits that the coach will be around for the entirety of the their college career. The raise was already in the contract.

That Boone doesn't have the balls to issue that same ulitmatum to Nutt that he did Cutcliffe.

six years when they hired him. The college board only allows 4 year contracts so they did a one year extension two years ago and this year. Not sure if that is true since I would think the college board would no approve of people bending the 4 year rule in this way but it's what I heard.

I think it was ol' Nuttsack himself. Guess that would mean he's in the self-heppin bidness now.

The rumor mill the past 48 hours went from:

Nutt is stepping down per big time Ole Miss boosters to- Nutt is going to Colorado to- Nutt is staying and getting a raise.

who gave Nix 500K per year? Although, it's hard to believe. And even if you're gonna do it, today ain't the day to announce it.

but as long as he has an ineptitude to understanding how to compete against an instate rival, then I like seeing his tenure there extended.

when Nutt didn't get them there in 10 years, maybe he's not such a great coach after all.

but then again, Nutt ran him off in the first place.

There's definitely alot of knocks on Nutt. He's not a program builder. But he's a great one game coach. He feels the game very well. He puts the players in their best position. It's the stuff that happens off the field that dooms him. I liken him to one Rick Stansbury. And the fans reaction is the same. Results are about the same as well.
