I hated his whole Varsity Blues act in college, and thought it was great when he cried when they lost to Bama, but now I find myself hoping he is successful.

I have no idea why I feel this way, but somehow it has happened.

If you had told 2009 me that I would be happy that Tebow was being a successful NFL QB, I would have never believed you, but here I am about three weeks away from showing up at work with John 3:16 eye black on.

or liked Tebow. One comment though: I don't think it was an 'act". Love it or hate it seems to be the real thing with him.

I didn't really hate him that much in college, but I certainly rooted against Florida and by proxy, Tebow.

I like how good he's doing after all the pundits absolutely trashed him for such a long time.

I think we're in the same boat with this guy, and my guess is that you have a soft spot, like many of us, for the underdog - hell you're a state fan, you must have a soft spot for the underdog. Tebow was insufferable in college becausehe was one more self-righteous cog in the unstoppable Florida machine. Now, he's every analysts wipping boy on a team full of bottom feeders, as someone said "it's like major league"".

Lemme ask you this - did you hate Jeff Gordon when he was winning ever race in sight? I did. Do you find yourself pulling for him a bit now that he's no longer one of the young guns, but more of a spoiler? I do.

This is why I said a while back (before his injuries and the porn cavalcade) that one day we would be pulling for Tiger. Everybody hated Jack the same way..actually more because he was beating Arnie. I never EVER thought I would pull for Tiger but find myself wanting him to win a tournament.

People seem offended by his wholesome behavior. I don't see him out there trying to convert the masses or criticizing the way others lead their lives. It's odd because Kurt Warner was devout as well and wasn't persecuted the way Tebow is. Then again, Warner is one of the greatest to ever play and Tebow will never be. But he's a leader nonetheless.

Becasue I did and still do.

My college days were Archie Manning Days and I hated him when he was at UM and then rooted for him in the years that Saints play was "Snap the Ball and watch them Kill Archie, snap the ball and watch them Kill Archie", so I know what you guys mean.

I hope only the very best for Tebow.

He's not. Tebow gets more crap because he's not a very good passing quarterback. Warner didn't have that problem. I don't care if you worship mohammad, jesus, or the flying spaghetti monster, just win football games.

and have always been because he's a leader and master motivator. He has this insane ability to make everyone around him play their best including his entire defense. That is what makes him a winner. Where he lacks in ability he over compensates by bringing the ability of his teammates to the highest level. It also helps that he's built like a truck and he is a gifted running back/full back. I bet he ends the year with over a 1000yds rushing. Just imagine what will happen when he wins the super bowl.
