Amazing what Rest Can Do

The extra day of rest made a huge difference in our performance:

- we shot 75% of our free throws. Not stellar, but headed in the right direction after being dreadful the last few games

- we outscored Michigan 37-22 in the second half. During our recent slide, we wilted in the 2nd half

- our FG% for the game was 39.3%. A huge improvement from recent games

- we scored 18 points off turnovers. Thx to our defensive intensity, defense became offense

- we held Michigan 20+ points below their seasonal average. Michigan’s Center in particular had to work for his points

- No matter what happens, this season is a success. He preseason polls had this as a rebuild season, and they were proven wrong. Anything else we get this season is gravy.

Yeah don’t get the premise of this thread. Plenty of times this year we’ve had similar rest. It’s not the reason we played well and won today.

We had the same rest going into the frozen tundra (Sun-Thu), so not following…

And We played competitively in the frozen tundra, even if we fell short. In the tundra we shot 49.1% and 41.7% from downtown.

Not so much when we played Northwestern, where we struggled, and shot dreadfully.

Your narrative is we didn’t wilt today in the 2nd half because of extra rest. We wilted in the 2nd half in a tundra (that I know too well) with the same rest.
