Amazon sent me a nice reminder that they had donated money to the Mississippi State Foundation due to my shopping.
In there, they included that this quarter they had sent the Foundation a little over $600 all told.

That means hardly anyone is using this option. In case you use Amazon and aren't already sending your money to another charity, please, please use smile.amazon.com and chose the MSU Foundation as your charity.
It's literally free money that helps the school.

Actually that would be a LOT of orders.

I use amazon like crazy and use smile.amazon exclusively. Lifetime donations to the charity i chose(not state) is like $140.

Look at your own personal lifetime donations and you will see how little is actually donated

Thats not to slight amazon in that effort. I think that portion of their business model is tremendous and an asinine amount of money has been donated via that method

I wonder how many times a week somebody HMU to use their Amazon smile. It’s like every organization I come in contact with.

I want to set myself up with my own Amazon smile so I get the donations of the money I’m spending.

Hmmm....

Well, if Amazon is to believed, I was responsible for nearly 10% of the money headed to the Foundation last quarter, so something isn't adding up.

I see the catch now.

They tell you it's a quarterly statement, but the numbers shown are given to date. Someone in Marketing formatted this to make everything look much grander than it is.

I mean, why? It’s a nice thread with good information and you have to throw your little political jab in.

Evidently you disagree with my post.

All lives matter to St. Jude and you seem to have a problems with that.

That is very sad.....

Signed up for this today. Only drawback is you have to go through the browser instead of the app.

No, the app works fine. You have to go into the settings and activate it for your device.

I know one person. He was just trying to resell a particular product, and he wasn't aware that if a competitor claims you are violating a patent or trademark, Amazon just shuts you down and then you have to go through the process of proving you aren't violating a patent or trademark. Not sure how hard that process is or how fair Amazon is. He pretty much just gave up per his MO.
