I dare you to try and guard Austin, Bryant, Ogletree. AND Murray at the same time.

Demarcus Ware - 2nd fastest to get to 109 sacks (Reggie White). He's a baaaaad man.

Romo was sharp. Demarco is the new Marion Barber.

The star is back.

Buy/Sell- America's Team goes 19-0

I say buy. Tonight was the first time in 9 tries that the previous year's Super Bowl champs lost the opening game of the year. That's because America's Team utterly dominated last year's Super Bowl champions. If Dallas can do that to the previously best team in the NFL, just think what they'll do to the inferior competition coming up. New Cowboy Superstar kevin Ogletree is the perfect compliment to Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, and with DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones in the backfield, their offense will be unstoppable. As usual, Tony "Little Staubach" Romo outplayed and outclassed Eli Manning.

On defense, DeMarcus Ware looks to have yet another monster season, and with the new cornerbacks America's Team has, DC Rob Ryan gives headaches to offenses everywhere. I know there's a lot of Cowboy-haters on here....don't hate the playahs, hate the fact your life is shallow and worthless because you hate America's Team. As always, Wise Men Follow The Star.

Senior Mutt!

I just got a little tear in my eye reading that post. Well done senior!

The boy's are back and I am ready to see that 19-0 season and the first of many super bowl banners to be raised in Jerryworld!

I always love or hate what Mutt has to say

Tonight, I love it. Romo was great tonight, as were most of the 'boys. I'm just glad the giants didn't have that 8 foot tall destroyer of dreams running the ball like they had last year.

Dallas will never win a championship with Romo at quarterback. He cannot perform when it counts and his December numbers back this up. Dallas did upgrade their secondary and this will help, but Romo will break your heart at the end, just like he does every year.

the defense is back

romo looked good. People who hate the cowboys will always say we can never do it with romo at qb until he does it. he has had to run for his life his whole career.

this just in....doug free is still the worst o lineman in the nfl, he is lazy and untalented which is dangerous. Somehow we hang onto him like grim death. Move tryon to RT and play jeremy pernell (who played at om) in at LT. Pernell is ready and good to go.

we actually were able to run the ball late in the 4th qtr with a lead.

Calm down. It's September. The Cowboys don't usually collapse until November.

Cowboys are fantastic in November, especially turkey day

It's December onward that they've been collapsing. Last year they went 4-0 in November, 1-4 December/Jan

Romo hasn't been the problem. You need defense and a running game too.

I presume you know his career QB rating of 96.9 is 2nd all-time, just behind Aaron Rodgers and just above Steve Young.

During his first 3 seasons he tried to do too much and threw way too many INT's. He's turned that around the last 3 years.

Dec/Jan regular season QB ratings:
2011 - 119.1
2010 - missed last 8 games with broken collar bone
2009 - 104.06

The Cowboys have sucked for a long time, but the last 3-4 years Romo has been the least of their problems.

Those are great numbers. The numbers I was referring to are the 'W's and 'L's. Stats? Hell, he's a much better QB than Trent Dilfer, but which guy has a ring?

I think the 'boys are going to be a lot better this year with an improved secondary. I wouldn't take too much away from the opening game, though, especially against a depleted Giants secondary.

Remember there were several dropped passes, a non-called defensive holding that probably saved a TD, generally just lots of first-game-of-the-season mistakes that hurt the Giants more than the Cowboys. That's football; it doesn't take away from the fact that the Cowboys won fair and square, and they look a lot better than they have in the last couple of years. Still, they were hardly what I would call dominant.

In the end we'll just have to see... the Super Bowl formula lately has been to make the playoffs and get healthy and hot at the end of the season.
