Big game ! I don't remember anybody picking Amherst against Brookville but they got it done . Forest will mostly run and they do it eell. They also do not make many mistakes on offense but they do give up points sometimes . Amherst must stay disciplined and not make mistakes . Also, they must get a couple stops and one turnover or special teams play to add opportunities . This is big for both teams !

Amherst keeps it a good game until the late 3rd, could possibly see them leading at half. JF forces a few turnovers and wins by 20 ish, I think they pull away because of depth and their great coaching staff's adjustments. That's just me though, anything can happen and Amherst is clearly a great team!
I don't think Amherst is great..I do think they will get better and be a tough team to deal with whoever they play as the season goes..
I really believe in this team and have said it from the beginning. Penalties hurts them more than turnovers but they kept that under control on Friday. Like they say, the game has to be played first. Jf has been in some close games and pulled it out. This Amherst team can score
You know what? I've got Amherst here. JF does not have a defense. Amherst will hold them down enough to win. Probably the shocker of the season in 4A West. Go Lancers. Go Wikki. You better be wearing the same knickers as last week. I think washing them will be OK......and preferable.

Well, I am picking Amherst. I am rooting for Pulaski. Maybe the East wins out in the end but the West has certainly become more interesting. I'm loving it.
I think Amherst can win most definitely. One thing for sure is we are definitely taking the fans to support those young men
I picked Amherst this week and pick them again this week... I've said numerous times JF won't finish with a perfect season. It'll be close though. Kick away from Jones and don't allow big plays and you win.
JF was 10-0 last year with a vastly weaker, less experienced team that didn't have as much depth, and it was their first year in an entirely new offense and defense and a whole new staff. With that being said, I'm expecting a great game Friday regardless of the outcome and I think that the turnout of fans on both sides will be awesome to see. It's great when communities can rally around and support these young men. Good luck Amherst, praying for safety for all of the players!
Well said jfcav1..All this talk about Amherst upsetting J.F isn't a disrespect to J.F but an excitement for football in Amherst again..I think Amherst could lose by 30 or they can win by 30 either way wouldn't surprise me..I talked to a Coach in the Seminole who said Amherst the talk of Lynchburg with the talent that's coming up,so happy for those kids..
