Just a side note - Amherst has played 3 of these teams in a semi-final or state before. Salem in semi and Louisa and Sherando in states. Don’t remember ever playing Lafayette

That's right. I know Amherst beat Sherando once and Louisa once in state final and maybe lost to Sherando once. Obviously you have played Salem.

Amherst is 2-0 against Sherando in finals winning handily in 1995 and 2007.
