Not too proud to admit when I am. If he can give a few more performances like today, I might have to completely reconsider my stance on him. I still think it's a big mistake for us not getting Garner some experience this season before throwing him in the fire next year, but I digress on that point.
He had a tremendous defensive day today. The play at the plate from Frasier was a thing of beauty. Fully blocked -- clean scoop -- and tag all in one motion. People that never played the position don't appreciate how difficult that is to accomplish. He hosed a guy at second on a throw that sailed on him a little bit, but Frasier put a nice tag. He handled the bun t through perfectly as well. He looked confident back there all day today -- and is looking better and better at the plate relatively speaking.
