Mason Perry Jones, a “person of interest” in the fatal shooting of John
Sanderson, was arrested in Memphis Sunday night, authorities said. Jones had
been one of three suspects sought.

Authorities received a tip that Jones had boarded a bus in Jackson and was
headed north and arrested him when he arrived at the station about 7 p.m.
Sunday.

The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force made the arrest of Jones on a warrant out of
Jackson for armed robbery. Authorities say he is now being held in jail in
DeSoto County and is expected to be charged with capital murder.

I wonder who we can thank for ratting him out. That person better hope like hell that he never finds out and never gets out if he is indeed the one of the killers.

Assuming he's proven guilty of course. 17 this guy. Only a raging, ***** *** ***** brings a gun onto a school campus to shoot someone knowing that the only other guns on campus are in Univ PD's holsters a mile away.

One down, two to go. I know back in the 80's when I was growing up in Greenwood it was fairly common knowledge that when the police wanted to interrogate someone who was being difficult they ended up taking a ride in the elevator. Seems every time they did that the darn thing would get stuck between floors so the officers deemed that as good as time as any to ask some questions. Also, oddly enough, it seemed those prisoners ended up falling down the stairs. At least that was how they explained all those bruises he now had. Maybe this guy can go on a similar elevator ride to cough up the names of his cohorts.

Dude..."ratting"...REALLY!

No, if someone did provide information, I wonder who the family, State, and the state of MS can thank for helping justice be served.

Shouldn't they just do their job and the convict would be handled appropriately... But, doing it the way you suggest is a first class way to get away scott free

Here is hoping these cops are smarter than the ones you discussed.

"I wonder who we can thank for ratting him out."

Good job making the same point about thanking them.

Also, I was pointing out that it could possibly be a family member or friendwho told where he was heading and how he was getting there. Ratting = To betray one's associates by giving information. It's not that hard of a concept.
