Do you listen to Jeff Byers as you’re trying to write an article?
Are you trying to watch the action while also trying to gain access to wrestlers for interviews?
It has to be a difficult job.
Ha, well, this day was unlike any tournament I’ve ever covered. Usually there is some kind of a break in the action. But when they got 20-0, that doesn’t happen.
The Penn State guys don’t talk between sessions on day one and only Cael spoke briefly tonight. We might be able to get some guys after QFs tomorrow but I highly doubt it. All semi finalists must visit the interview room tomorrow night and Cael will talk after. Same deal Saturday with champs and placers.
I usually do listen to Byers but trying to follow it live there with him on the delay was confusing so I shut that off early. Most of us are stationed in the hockey press box so we’re quite high above the action. I’m doing live updates on the front page so following everything there and with you all here. Tomorrow and Saturday will be back and forth up and downstairs in the evening. And of course keeping running agate and tracking next matches as well, then takeaways after each session.
