We played bad and Butler was good enough to beat us. We played about the same as we did against PV A&M but Butler was better. We were lost defensively in that game and Butler also shot well.
State was 1-14 in the first half from 3 and was only down 6. If we would have shot 5-14, we lead by 6 and the game plays differently.

Face it, Butler is the early season basketball loss equivalent to footballs loss to Toledo, for the rest of this season

They may be, but they've lost 3 already. 2 of those to Austin Peay (4-5) and N Dakota St, the other to Houston.
This loss will be a Q2 loss, it’s not at all what you’re making it out to be.
It’s like some of y’all get lifeblood from our losses so you can get that negativity life source. Don’t focus on the 33-point win over a ranked team. Focus on our one loss to a mediocre Big East team and bring it up numerous times throughout the season.

What's the matter sonny, can't accept facts? Butlers lost 3 already and two were not good losses, to N Dakota St and Austin Peay. What if we had lost to N Dakota St and Austin Peay, there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth on here (like when we lost to Southern U last season) but you want to say its ok because it was them and not us? Butler lost to both and then beat us, how is that a terrible take? Edited to say I didn't start the thread saying "Down goes Butler" either.....
If we lost to Central Michigan or Bethune Cookman that would definitely hurt. I don’t think McNeese would be as bad though. Obviously better if we just win it, certainly.
