They probably had to make that schedule considering they just jumped to the Pac-12.

I also just realized that they should be able to schedule a 13th game because they play at Hawaii. So I'm sure they'll get a 5th home game and just not have an Off week.

They have the problem of a 9-game Pac-12 schedule combined with the fact that the Colorado State is traditionally a neutral site game in Denver (which it is in 2011 and CSU is the host).

In 2011, they will be playing 13 games. Fiveconference games on the road, the neutral site game versus CSU, a money game at Ohio State (Colorado's athletics budget situation isfrankly at LT-let's play Florida in Tampa-bad levels), and a game at Hawaii which helps in the sense that it allows for a fifth home game in a 13-game schedule.

If I recall correctly, I remember reading that the Buffaloes also had the problem that their skybox rent is basedvia contract on six home games. I wonder if they were able to get out of that.

They could have just as easilygiven them 5 conference home games this year and 4 road games. That would have helped them out a lot.
