might not turn out so well for Bond though? But I have no idea why Bond would even think about passing this type of info through our athletic department if it was anything other than the truth?

Cecil and the scam are the liars here. Looks like ole Cecil won't be lawyering up much longer. Not with the FBI probing his ***.

potentially be, therefore it's ridiculous to think he'd come out of right field with some ******** accusation that would get him in some major trouble and in turn make his alma mater look bad if it wasn't true. This **** happened. It was talked about on sixpack very shortly after it all went down.....it's just now coming to light. Funny how some of the media now are turning all of this around and trying to make Mullen, Bond and even Meyer the bad guy. The bad guy in all of this is Cecil. Period. The end.

Since Bond apparently did not speak to his former teammate directly, what if the middleman was just trying to con someone out of some cash. Bond ran to Byrne with the story, and it was all just a scam attempt?

There's a lot of mud slinging going on, and I'm certainly not taking sides with Gregg $++!*+! Doyle, but let's don't sit around and act like John Bond is a saint.

with misinformation for the freaking hell of it. He is not stupid. I think anybody with a brain could figure out how big this story is. Why in the hell, if it did not happen, would you go on record with a lie? The answer is, you wouldn't.

Bond said ESPN came to him and said they were running it with or without him. And the ESPN story quotes several "Sources".

So it wasn't just Bond that told ESPN **** was going on, there were several people. Bond is just taking all the heat.

Just butt out. Nobody asked your opinion. Nobody asked you to take sides. You don't have a dawg ... uhh ... bear ... in this fight. <div>

I think he was telling the truth. That's got nothing to do with his sainthood before two weeks ago. <div>
</div><div>Every MSU person in my family I've talked to said that they wish it had come from someone besides John Bond.</div>

other than he was likely the most productive QB we've ever had. I've never really heard him mentioned other than in the context of being a good QB and a condo developer. What reservations do the MSU people in your family express about him? I'm not saying they don't, I'm just curious as to what they are.
