It was clearly the best option available and we have to move forward somehow so people will quit bitching. Its much better than: "the ole miss Hotty Toddy's will face bama."

So we will have a dude dressed up as a bear taking pictures with kids in the Grove. Big fuggen deal.

Ole Miss just spent a ton of money on research, polling, and public relations to come up with one of the most generic, basic mascots in all of sports. If they want a goofy *** Smokey the Bear knockoff on their sideline then fine but why in the world would you go through all of this to come up with a bear?
There is no such thing as a Mississippi Black Bear. The Black bears in MS are a threatened species called........wait for it..... The Louisiana Black Bear. You stole your mascot from your true rival. This is beyond stupid.

You really can't be that naive, can you. The fix has been in for a while. This was a huge step towards the University of Mississippi becoming politically correct.
