is a microcosm of why our Bulldogs will never make a Sweet 16 under this assclown. You can always count on him to lose games he shouldnt, but the sumbitch NEVER wins games outside of the SEC that he shouldnt. EVER.

We are a middle-tier team in a 4th-5th rate basketball conference...and that is all we will ever be under this guy. If thats good enough for you, so be it. It's not for me.

Both teams tonight had most starters returning...only one team was playing at home...and only one team was prepared. If any of you want to tell me Rider has our talent, then you are a goddamn idiot. So whats the difference? An inferior team playing on the road won tonight. You know what the difference is and so do I.

She taught our fans a lesson when it comes to talking **** before your season starts (football), and she is apparently determined to teach your fanbase a lesson as well.

I have no idea what kind of team Rider has. However, I would say at least one of our guards is not that much talented than Riders guards. None the less, it is the same ole stuff.......same stuff different year. Lose all the early non-conference games against decent opponents. Pick up some wins in the SEC. ONe and done in the NCAA. Very frustrating.

Hate to sound like a GPer but it could be lose all the early games, lose the SEC games, and repeat the next year. Which I could really care less anymore.

a fatass who cannot have any logical discussion with an Ole Miss poster not named OP4.

But I'm sure the reciprocal ****-talking will somehow get me banned, despite the fact that you instigated it.

****. it's pathetic you get your jollies by waiting for something bad to happen just so you can spout you stupid asinine useless ****. you never have anything positive to say about anything MSU, so just go cry over another team. we'll still have a decent season, i never was sold we were as great as everybody on here thought, but we could still get there from here. it was probably good to go ahead and get this out of the way. everyone besides you will move on. you spend way too much time worrying about this crap. why don't you go get a real life and quit bitching. you have to be the bitchiest person on the face of the earth and i doubt that even your family can stand to be around you for more than 5 minutes at a time. go eat a bullet or something, just shut the 17 up already you whiny little *****.

Because, you know, the way people act on the internet is completely and absolutely how they are in real life. There is no difference.

None.

At all.

It makes no difference to me of your opinion of how I am on the intertubes.

...Same **** every year. We won't make 2nd weekend until we can be a 6 or better. We won't be a 6 or better until we win the games we should in the nonconference.

Fire Stansbury? Yep, that will work out really well. I'm sure there are a long list of coaches waiting to come coach basketball at MSU armed with the knowledge that we fired a guy who has taken us to 6 NCAA tournaments, more than we had ever been to before his tenure.

Stansbury isn't the greatest coach ever, but that isn't exactly shocking news. Here's what he is: a good coach that routinely wins at a tough place to win. Feel free to keep complaining though, I'm sure sooner or later Greg Byrne will hop on board and sink the basketball program by firing Rick.

Greg Bryne wont fire him unless he has someone in his back pocket that he knows will come and can put us over the top.

he will bait when the basketball team loses and either hide or point out how Coach Stansbury finally did what he (Coach34) had been saying all along. Just enjoy Coach34 for the entertain value as there is no substance behind his posts.

keep improving our schedule each year like Tennessee and others to play a national schedule...if Stansbury survives- great...if he doesnt, so be it.

Stop playing the "we can't get anybody better" card...we heard that same **** in football about firing Crooms...and look what happened? We will be able to find applicants to come coach in the SEC for a million a year- i guarantee it. Especially with our new indoor practice facility

1. Benock never sees the floor again except if we are up 15 with 1 min to go.
2. Osby plays in place of Ravern who then only comes in as a 3 pt specialist (he doesn't play defense nor move at all on offense).
3. Turner plays in place of Randy (thanks for the 2 for a bunch shooting performance)....and disappearing for most of the game. Pathetic.
4. Turner and Bost were really the only two with a spark out there tonight.

My solution of Kodi kicking *** looks like **** tonight becuase he pretty well sucked too. For future reference, I would rather have Kodi shooting than Airvern and Airy Stewart. Holy hell. I saw one or two nice timing "set" plays on offense that both worked well. Why not a few more of those damn? Same team, same players, come on? We don't need Kodi floating on the perimeter the whole season either, get him down low more.

It is only the first game, so no need to get too worked up.

There's just no reason or excuse for this performance. This loss will be with us all season and it's on Rick's back! If he wants to take the next step with our team, he can't continue to do this.

I mean, Stansbury obviously = Crooms. You are an idiot!

First of all, I was one saying we could and would hire a good coach to replace Crooms, and wasn't surprised when we did. For one thing, Crooms was a disaster. Improving over him wasn't hard. The fanbase was hungry for any kind of success, as the Liberty Bowl 2007 attendance showed. We play in the top conference in college football, with great facilities (compared to many other non-SEC programs), and winning here brings much national respect for the coach. Hiring a good replacement for Crooms wasn't hard if the process was undertaken correctly, and it was. We fired a disaster of a coach, not a successful coach.

On the other hand, Stansbury is arguably our most successful basketball coach ever. People may differ on that, but the argument can be made. He has taken us to more NCAA appearances than, not only any other coach, but all other coaches combined. He's won an SEC regular season title and 2 SEC Tourney titles. He hasn't gotten it done in the NCAAs yet, but he's done everything but that. Firing Stansbury would be about like Ole Miss firing Cutfliffe. Here's a guy who wins consistently at a tough place to win consistently. I don't believe there is a long list of coaches looking to coach here anyway, I'm sure the knowledge that the MSU fanbase will fire you for winning SEC West titles, SEC Tourney titles, and making appearances in the NCAAs will surely send them a running for Starkville.

we wont get a good coach to apply for a job at one of the top 6 basketball schools in the SEC for a million a year? Are you aware of how stupid you sound when you say that?

Name one.

I'm sure there is no one on this board who would object to any of our sports teams achieving greater success. No real MSU fan. However, I'm not convinced improving our men's basketball performance is the easy sure thing you make it out to be.
