I don't understand why UNC couldn't just use their bullpen vs. starters who have thrown significant pitches this weekend. I don't believe it would have come to this had they not chosen that path

The starter they brought back was throwing a fast ball about 6 mph below his normal velocity and was all over the place. I never would have put him in, but if I had, I'd have taken him out after one or two batters.
