Clink tried stealing him along with Key when he left for Mich making me think he was gonna be a player here.

Stewart was recruited as a corner. He couldn't beat out Max Hairston and Elijah Reed. He got moved to safety, where he was not big enough to play in run support. Once he couldn't make it as a corner, the handwriting was on the wall.

But now we are getting thin at safety with Tisdale and Stewart gone. Our top safeties Childress, Geiger, and Lovett are good, but behind them are true freshmen. Maybe Afari gets some time as a safety?

Dunn is no bigger than Stewart. He will struggle in run support, same reason he did not get on the field at Ohio State. Afari has been looking for a permanent position. He has better size than Dunn. If Phillips is the nickel starter, I could see Afari starting at strong safety with Lovett at free safety. We could have the best safeties in the league.

Stewart had back problems since last summer. Wasn't even practicing.. He left because of a family health problem.

Losing Stewart is no big deal. I Didn't want him in the first place. Coached against him when he was at high school and didn't think he was good enough to play here. Best of luck to him. Hope he can find the right fit.

OSU move him to CB and he hurt his knee. He was supposedly looking good there according to Day. After getting hurt he was too far behind to catch up

Phillips is our best cb he isn't playing nickel this year. He will be replacing valentine. The starting Safeties are Lovett, Childers, and Geiger will be at Nickel. In Medium Afari will be in at Nickel/Sam
