While I am pulling for Starmount and Coach Sandy, I hope Andrews has a safe trip down the mountain and plays a great game. With only 200+/- students, my hat goes off to them. Full of RESPECT for them.
The schools that have been in the 1AA have no idea. They probably have a totally separate offense, defense & special teams. NCHSAA is out of touchYes it is a big deal.
Some was just on here saying numbers don't matter and it's just as hard for ER to win a title as all the others.
If Andrews won a title it would be huge.
If memory serves me right Starmount was one of the top teams back in the 70’s.While I am pulling for Starmount and Coach Sandy, I hope Andrews has a safe trip down the mountain and plays a great game. With only 200+/- students, my hat goes off to them. Full of RESPECT for them.
NCHSAA botched it as usualThe schools that have been in the 1AA have no idea. They probably have a totally separate offense, defense & special teams. NCHSAA is out of touch

Andrews is bigger population wise than Ramseur.Yeah without all the people
Should know Wednesday if it is a possibility
Andrews is the biggest town in the SMC, if you’re just talking population in town.Andrews is bigger population wise than Ramseur.
Would have never guessedAndrews is the biggest town in the SMC, if you’re just talking population in town.
You’re right that Cherokee population is higher, although technically it’s a census designated place. Cherokee government has seven townships, three of them are in what the census calls Cherokee CDP.Would have never guessedalthough Cherokee is listed at just over 2,000. But I’m certainly no expert in populations up there
Just wanted to let you know Eastern Randolph has one feeder middle school, located in Ramseur. There are 2 1/2 elementary schools that feed the middle, Coleridge, Ramseur, and half of Franklinville. (Other half of Franklinville students go to Providence Grove). In 2018 Ramseur population is listed as 1690. Franklinville is listed at 1179. Coleridge is an unincorporated community and their numbers at elementary are around 170 students.Yeah without all the people

Just felt you would like to see some numbers because you keep painting Randolph as a huge metropolis. Three weeks ago I know for a fact that ER was invaded by two horses that got out of fence. Two days later there were over 30 cows, and one not pleasant looking bull, trying to get into baseball and softball fields (fence lost a battle to a dead pine).
I would like to apologize to both Andrews and Starmount posters for hijacking thread. Will not happen again...
Probably.
Half of Franklinville goes to PG? I honestly did not know that. I thought all of F'ville went to ER. Yes, yes I did. I realize now that I should have added Grays Chapel. Go, Blue Hawks.Wait didn’t you start a thread with Climax Franklinville Providence Grove in title?!?
Grandma graduated there in 1940. Softball pitcher, basketball player, from Buzzard Mountain down on Sandy Creek, one of the moonshine still capitals of NC at that time.Yes, yes I did. I realize now that I should have added Grays Chapel. Go, Blue Hawks.
I don’t know but let’s get back to Starmount and Andrews. By chance I make it up, what’s going on with the Starmount concession stand? Recommend or not, what’s the go to food there?LOL how did this thread get derailed?
